Quick question, since I will be going for the 1tb HDD, will I still need the SSD? Will I need them both? I don't exactly understand how that works You should get a new monitor, imo. 1280x1024 is pretty crappy for gaming, and lot of the power of new hardware will be wasted on such a crappy resolution. 1920x1080 monitors are pretty cheap nowadays. Friend picked up a 23" 1080 for $60 today, which is boxing day.

Thank you so so much for all the fast replies! I'm settling on the MSI version, costing 280$ a piece. Since you say everything else is great, I am considering blowing 560$ to go Crossfire/SLI. Terrible decision?

yea i saw that power supply, but it seems to have pretty bad reviews/issues recently- which makes me hesitant to buy it. Any others you would recommend?
|
The only other ones in that price range would be the Corsair CX430V2 and Rosewill Green 430. I would allocate your funds differently so that you can afford a ~$60 power supply such as the Rosewill Capstone 450, Seasonic S12II 520, Antec High Current Gamer 520, Antec Earthwatts 500D / 650, Antec Neo Eco 520, or XFX Core Edition 550 - whichever is least expensive.

Do you have a link for that one? It sounds like the GTX 560 Ti with 448 cores, which is better though more expensive than a normal GTX 560 Ti. The GTX 560 Ti should be under $250 or so, unless my idea of European pricing is way off.

If you intend on playing games at 1080p than it's a waste of money.
You don't need a 900w unit for CrossfireX 7970.
PCI-E 3.0 support is useless because you can't even use it with a core i7 2600k. You require Ivybridge to use PCI-E 3.0 and the cards coming out in 2012 won't even saturate PCI-E 2.0.
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro is basically the exact same as the P8Z68-V.
Corsair Force GT? Meh. I rather get a Crucial M4.

Nevermind, that one is good. I just don't know European pricing.

Hey guys, I'm buying a new computer, and I've pretty much settled with the one linked below, but I want to know if there is anything else on the list I should get instead. http://www.komplett.no/k/config.aspx?ConfigSystemId=10523 The things that are currently selected are:

The core i5 2500 has a limited multiplier. For overclocking, you need the core i5 2500K.
I wouldn't get the Corsair Force since it's a first generation Sandforce, which is bad.
The 620w unit is only necessary if you plan on doing CrossfireX in the future. If not than the 500w unit is fine for an overclocked 2500k and a single overclocked 6870.

I saw your responses (thank you btw), and did what you said. Will I now be able to run games like Skyrim and Starcraft 2 on medium/high graphics without overclocking?

Yes such a configuration is capable of running both games on reasonably high settings at 1080p.

C45 is better. Though I would avoid MSI's C series altogether if there are other boards such as the Asrock P67 Pro3 or similar available to you.
