The processor I picked has a chance of "unlocking" its potential to 4 cores and/or a Phenom II processor with 6mb L3 cache. This is chance though, it's not guaranteed. If this does happen though, you profit about £55 :X Everything look ok for running ultra with a good FPS? Main use would be playing SC2 while listening to music. Just want to make sure there will be no problems with heat, and i want to protect myself so im still able to play on ultra when the next SC2 expansions are released, so a little "future proofing" would be nice. For reference i could also go up to £500 if it would make a large performance improvement. One of the main concerns i have is a previous poster said my PSU may not be good enough? So if anyone has any opinionsid like to hear them. Il also be buying at eBuyer.com for cost references. Thanks

at the 500 budget, I changed your case, power supply, and motherboard. Antec 300 case http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143854 £47 XFX 650w Modular power supply http://www.ebuyer.com/product/191826 £70 Asus M4A79XTD EVO 790X 16x/0x 8x/8x Motherboard http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172846 £83 Cart total inc vat: £505.78 For future upgrading the next step would be upgrading the processor, which won't be for a long time. Maybe when Bulldozer arrives. The next would be adding a 2nd 5770 and have a dual graphics card setup. Other than that everything is is evenly distributed I would say. ______________________________ Is this 460 new? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121391 Or at least I could've sworn ASUS released a 1gb 460 that was black... is there any anything new other than the AWESOME blue paint job? Or would the Gigabyte 460 1gb be a better choice still?

Not sure I understand your question, but are you asking for the ATI equivalent of the GTX 460? It was supposed to perform between the level of the 5830 and the 5850. However, tests show that it consistently outperforms the 5830 and almost comes close to the performance of the 5850. Pick up the 5850 if there is not much of a difference in price (5-10 USD) depending on rebates If not, go for the GTX 460, which is usually cheaper and heavily overclockable (can reach GTX 470 level performance)

What is your budget? Around $1100-$1200 CAD, I may be able to pull $1300 CAD though. But please note, this has to include the monitor and a new keyboard. What is your resolution? I will be needing a new monitor and if the budget fits, I'd like the resolution to be 1920 x 1080. What are you using it for? Mostly gaming. SCII for the most part, maybe MW2 or L4D2 a bit later. Aside from that, homework and to surf the net. I won't be streaming or using PhotoShop. What is your upgrade cycle? I probably won't be upgrading for another 3-4+ years. When do you plan on building it? Basically in the next few days/a week Do you plan on overclocking? Nope Do you need an Operating System? Yes Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire? Unless it's really cost efficient/fits the budget, probably not. Where are you buying your parts from? Canada's NCIX Thanks in advance!

Off the top of my head... i5 760 - $200 Some P55 motherboard - $140 (Ballpark with the average price) 4GB DDR3 - $100 (Since no OC, any RAM is fine really) GTX 460 1GB - $240 HDD - 1TB $80 (WD Caviar Black) Case - Lets just say 80$ 24" LCD (16 ) - $210Assuming you don't have an NCIX store where you live so paying only 5% tax and shipping not included, that should be roughly 1100 on the dot. Oh, and I didn't include keyboard since you can pick that yourself.

a) Get an inexpensive case (Like the Antec 300) b) Get a smaller HDD c) Get an mATX motherboard I took a glance at the current NCIX sales and theres an i5 760 bundled with an MSI GD55 motherboard for 290. Since you don't plan on OC'ing, the mobo would suffice, it's not too bad.
