i think the game is bugged. i don't think it's an internet connection problem. if you look at the error report, there's always some error...like memory error or something. it's like the game's memory goes weird...and it looks like ur internet is lagging....but it's just the game messing up

Happens in almost 80% of my games now. There will be periods when everything is ok for a few hours. Then boom! One game after another I get dropped. I lost track of how many times I've filled in the "what were you doing when the problem occured box".

I even tried rebooting, installing different nvidia drivers and reinstalled the beta (dam those patches take forever to dl!!).

Vista 64,q6600 quad core, 8800gt, 4 gigs ram.

i also tried older drivers and reinstalling..didn't fix it

and it's annoying when ppl tell me my internet sux or something....when it doesn't. i tell them the game is bugged and they just go "lol"

ièm getting it a lot now. it only happened with 2v2s before but now ièts happening with 1v1s as well. hopefully itll be fixed in the next patch

Remember how some people were complaining about playing matches/games but not getting them recorded?

Could it be this drop is because, Blizzard's server is getting our account info mixed up so if someone else logs in, we get dropped out because the server mistakes their account for ours when they log in.

Just a thought.

I have this same exact problem. Renderse game unplayable. Happens around 5-10 minute mark.

I think me_viet has a point. Possibly the server ist rying to update our ranking or something and gets mixed up and then thinks there are 2 of us. Then drop?

Since the last patch the number my drops and opponent drops have declined.

But I still get the odd wn/victory due to me/opponent dropping at least once in about every 10 games or so.

When I switched from my motherboard soundcard to my external USB soundcard all my issues went away.

now it works perfectly.

my motherboard sound is disabled and i'm using a sb audigy instead.

i've also noticed one map seems to lag out and crash more than others. it's that big 2v2 map...where both players start very close to eachother..they both share the same big ramp. that map....is bugged i think.

seriously i jus started to have this problem
i was in this TvT
literally only 5 buildings away from winning the game and then my game gets huge spike then comepletely freezes then i drop then my game crashes

so damn annoying

This reminded me of something - I'm not sure whether it's relevant but after many of the account resets that kept happening a while back, each time I clicked my portrait it would link to some other account with the same name (real name, but not ID) as me. I'm afraid I can't give too much specific information since this happened only after those resets and those have stopped happening, but it did happen 3-4 times, each time linking to what seemed to be a different account (well, they were reset, so might be the same person). What really startled me is why the game was linking me with someone completely different, and that person in particular.

Just an afterthought - I do have a very rare name (rare enough that odds are good nobody in the beta would share it), so maybe the account information was just linking achievements, ladder rank, match history, etc, from another player, but with the information from my account (such as my real name) overlayed, since it is after all my account I was looking at.

Am I reading too much into this? Maybe this is a well known bug of no significance. I didn't think much of it at the time.

On topic though, I do have these disconnects happen to me frequently. 5-10% of games, out of about 150. Most of them feel like they were at a time I was doing very well, but that's likely just the effect of selective memory.

I run Windows 7 32bit, do not acc share, am paranoid about security, and I'm based in Sweden.

it isn't a DROP HACK i have been dropped form every game i have been playing, since the new patch I cant get through a game with out getting such as 2 star gates and then it just laggs lags lags and i drop, leaving a teammate every single time, I dont know what the problem is I have only music playing and thats it, that cant be the problem ive been doing music + sc2 the whole time i have had sc2. The problem is with sc2, someone needs to fix this, it is HORRID and I cant even get through 1 game.... there are 100s of other people that have this problem also, there is no drop hack yet, there will be in the future I am sure of it, but no its something wrong with the beta.

This happens to me about one out of 10 or 15 games. I have a 100% stable system running W7 64 bit on a cable connection (I haven't rebooted in a month). It's a problem with the game for sure, because each time it happens, I am still able to move around the screen and select units during the time it's crashing; in a normal disconnect, you get the popup window that times out the other person. Since it's the beta, I just start up again and join a new game; if it happened every single game, I definitely would have quit by now. I'd say you should at least send the error log to Blizzard each time it happens though.

I've had it happen a couple of times, and though I think there is a bug associated with this, I also think it has to do with drop hacks. A couple times now my partner and I have both dropped at the exact same time after our opponents' cheese has backfired on them and we were about to deliver the death blow.

I have this issue since patch 13 but never before. During my placement matches I have been dropped four times. Interestingly though the matches aren`t rated, neither as loss nor as win. I won two of the matches (one with about 150 supply) and was dropped of every other one.

My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT. Although this is one is quite old I never had any issues. My internet connection is very stable (cable) and I usually have a decent ping within Europe (20-50ms).
