Re-Play- those are not integrated cards! The Nvidia 240M is comparable to the ATi 4650M (which should run the game fine at medium)

I been playing sc2 since blizzard send me the beta key 2-3 days ago, also, i really SUCK at computers, and everyone's help so far hasnt done much, i have a 'custom build' Intel R Core(TM) 2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86Ghz 1.59Ghz. 2GB of RAM ATI Radeon X1650 PRO.... soooo starcraft 2 was running like shit, my friend said it could be the RAM or the Vid Card, so i upgraded both: now i have 3 GB of RAM and a GeForce 9800GT graphics... didn't really help much at all... my stacraft 2 runs: 30 FPS (at the start) goes down to 15ish @ midgame... lategame it goes down to 5fps and in battles it goes down as low as 2 (YES TWO) fps... so i don't know what to do... please help me someone.

im guessing with the spec you listed your running an older system? imo i would get 3 or 4 gigs of ram of ddr3 and the new video card is good if its bigger than 512 mb and atleast ddr2. So please list your specs in more detail so i can give you better advice as to what to replace to be able to play. to give you an example, I recently build a new computer for sc2 and other things. and it looks like this i5 650 3.2 Ghz process 4 gigs ddr3 dual channel nvidia 9500 ddr2 1gig video card and i play at the highest resolution that game offers me 1900x1200 32 bit and everything is on ultra and my fps is around 30-45

6300 @ 1.86Ghz (idk what that means) and then the next line says 1.59 Ghz got 3GB or ram DD2 and my card has 1gig also my computer is about 3 years old but when it was built is was pretty darn good i guess, i go 3 gigs of ram ddr2 i dont think i can do ddr3 cuz my motherboard says ddr2 the game also offered me by default all the highest settings i guess because my video card is pretty decent but i changed them all to low to see if it'd work better but no luck whatsoever

From what you've told me you should handle everything on medium no problem, my guess is you have some hidden bots that are doing processing for third parties. IF you don't want to do that try this. start sc2, then go into your task manager, and under the processor tab, turn everything off except the nvvsc, exe winlogon, exe and the csrss, exe and of course the starcraft 2.exe and when i say everything i mean everything including windows explorer. (its fine you can start explorer up again by going to new task and typing explorer.exe At that point your just running sc2 and thats it, so if its still slow you probably have some bot doing extra processing for a third party and you should reinstall the os imo.

processor: x86 Family 6 model 15 Stepping 6 Genuine Intel ~1866Mhz (it lists the same item twice i guess because its a dual core? idk) i understand this means 1.86 Mhz i think Physical Memory: 3.072.00MB Available Physical Memory: 2.44 GB Total Virtual Memory: 2.00GB Available virtual memory: 1.96GB System Model: 671T-M ATI Radeon X1650 PRO < video card (windows XP) I do believe I meet all the minum requirements but idk why it will lag so much and go as low as 2!!! FPS in lategame battles, averaging 7 mid game (and this is with all settings on low and resolution on minimum... i don't know what else to try I already upgraded my card and added an extra GB of RAM just for this game and its still being quite evil to me, i have the worst luck when it comes to this kinds of things) is there anything besides the requirements that I can do to fix this issue? I reformated not long ago and its free of viruses and malaware or anything but im really desperate I don't know what else to try, even cleaned it with compressed Air... could it be a monitor issue? when i first upgraded my video card and opened sc2 it said "out of range" and when i opened WC3 it took forever to open, then i played a bit with the settings and the screen resolution/hz and it worked but its still lagging me like insane PLEASE SAVE ME ps: how do i reinstall the os? just format my comp? ps2: thank you heil for the help don't give up on me plz!

So i doubt its your monitor im guessing your hard drive is sata and so is your dvd/cd rom ? i would personally do a clean install and see how it looks then, though save the important stuff before you do!

You went from a ATI card to a Nvidia card. These cards use different DRIVERS. You need to clean your old Drivers because Nvidia drivers will not run so well with ATI driver on your computer at the same time. Here is the directions on deleting and installing new drivers: + Show Spoiler + Download Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper and install it. 1) R/Click My Computer 2) Select Manage> Device Manager 3) Expand Display Adapter> R/Click NVIDIA GeForce xxxx/ATI Radeon xxxx 4) Select Uninstall> Confirm Device Removal> OK 5) Restart Computer 6) Enter Safe Mode..Tap F8 during Post 7) Once in Safe Mode> Run Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper > Select nVidia (not nForceChipset/For ATI select ATI, ATI CCC, ATI WMD)> start Cleaning 8) Do step 7 Twice with Driver Cleaner Pro - With Driver Sweeper do it once. 9) Restart Computer> Cancel out of New Found Hardware Wizard 10) Navigate to the Location of your Drivers and Install.
