Run is under Accessories in windows 7.

The fixes were working for a long time in both firefox and chrome, but recently they've been starting up again. Anybody have a new fix? Also I wouldn't mind watching the ads so much but recently my wifi-connection button on my laptop is messed up so my internet connection is intermittently interrupted, causing me to have to rewatch the ad about every 10 minutes.

If you use firefox, do you have adblock plus? If so it sometimes finishes your subscription to a list of things to block. Just subscribe to a bunch of lists or the old one you had in your adblock plus and you should be sweet.

You need to exercise administrator rights to be able to modify the contents of the folder. I'm guessing you're using Win7 (or maybe Vista, though I don't know much about Vista).

In fact, I think it's a very bad idea.

It's free because they run ads during the streams. The ads might be annoying, but you should at least let them run.

Because of this I don't block ads. However, video ads are a different story and they're definitely enough of an annoyance for me to block. I'd watch an ad, then go fullscreen a minute later and be forced to watch another... Much thanks to the OP for the know-how to block. (Recommend the original post is edited from "Windows XP and Vista" to XP/Vista/7, it works in Win 7 also.)

Type notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts 3. Add the lines: 127.0.0.1 adserver.adtechus.com 127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com Does this method work for Google Chrome as well?

This way you allow ads for sites you care about supporting but can safely tell the rest of the world to go away.
