By the definition of beta, yes they should. Unless its specifically called "multiplayer beta" I suspect single player will be in the game.

I don't quite get this. This is a thread to organise people to play with when the beta comes out? If so, why would iccup ranks really matter? Despite being similar to Starcraft:Broodwar, it will still be a very different game in where the playing field is significantly more even for the people because everything will be new.

I would assume its for the same reason InReach suggested, and thats to play together and get to know each other before beta comes out?
and Iccup ranks don't matter for this, people just post them.
