Week #194 of the Open Cups saw Dark win in Korea, Clem triumph in Europe, and ByuN come out on top in the Americas.
As usual, the path to the Korean cup title was strewn with Code S-caliber players, with Dark taking out DRG, Astrea, Cure, and herO on his way to first place.
The European Cup featured a dominant showing from Clem, who achieved a near-perfect run with just a single map loss to HeroMarine. Runner-up SKillous put in a strong PvP showing by defeating MaNa, Gerald, and MaxPAx, but he couldn't overcome his teammate in the finals. Clem wasn't the only Liquid Terran with a notable performance; Kelazhur recorded his second top-four finish in a row, defeating Canadians trigger and DisK on his way to the semis.
The week wrapped up with ByuN winning the American server cup, thwarting Clem's attempt at a double with a 3-0 sweep in the finals. ByuN came close to achieving a perfect run of his own, but dropped a single map to SKillous in the RO8.
In non-ESL opens, herO won KSL #28 by defeating Dark 3-2 in the finals—the opposite result from the previous week.
