SC2 campaign cutscene is very good, in terms of story and the computer animation. But the low quality of the videos really annoyed me when I rewatched the intro of WoL and HotS. Some dark areas are blocky when the logos come out and of course they obviously influence the experience negatively. There is no need to save that space now on computers running SC2. I mean they just don't need to be that stingy about the storage space when they have put hundreds and thousands of models and sprites. SC2 is not a game running on a mobile phone that only has e.g. poor 64GB internal storage, where every GB is precious. I don't remember when they changed the encoding of those videos because back several years ago I enjoyed satisfying quality (or I may be wrong). It is a pity that the atmosphere is destroyed by not only unavoidable chroma subsampling but also the poor encoding when it shouldn't be that hard to replace the better ones in their file system. But hey ... if anyone could ask this Blizzard to do a favour...

In Blizzard there are currently Zero (0) people working that were involved in coding the game So there is no one even capable implementing those changes. They strugle to change the mappool, how should they be able to implement New cutscenes? I highly doubt they changed anything since Release there anyways. So it s probably just you beeing used to higher quality graphics in Videogames compared to 10 years ago

Ahh. Well, I guess at least there is a better compressed version of the video because I could see from some people's uploaded video that it looks much better without the color block problem. Since they could change from MPQ to CASC, modifying the video quality is also possible. But at the same time, glad to see those guys left working in the company where things do not go right.
