Brat_OK? Kas? DIMAGA? NANIWA?!? What year is this?
Niniwa is an idiot who should never be playing for a Team again. No ideal why Root is feeling him, when there are way less tixic players that are probably better as well available:
Agreed, any team fielding Naniwa is pretty unforgiveable. Lost a lot of respect for Catz.
Hoping Hist&Toss makes it, the world needs more Has.
I understand Naniwa has had poor attitudes - but he isn't banned from competition, and ROOT is open to any Masters+ player who applies, we don't want to be restrictive. Personally, I like Naniwa, and I am sorry if that offends anyone. I've explained my position more than once, very long thread of replies on twitter here:
I hope you read it in full, there is also linked in one of the replies, a reddit thread, where I talked about the same "issue" hope that helps clarify my position, even if yours is different and you would act differently.

Sorry, but that is somewhere between naive and dilusional With that aproach, you would just invite people like Putin to talk with you in the Real World. Like my chancenlos Merkel did for years. Don t want to derail this thread into politics, but the last year Showeinlagen, that that aproach just didn t work there. I hoghly doupt it ll work in SC2 and will not watch any matches from ROOT in the qualifier or in the Main league, if they make it there

Well, it's how I approach things - if you think out-casting/shunning 'problematic' people instead of at least trying to understand them and show them a better, less hostile, side from other people than they are probably used to.. I'd say you're the naive one if you expect anyone to adjust their behavior "for the better" with only negative input. Hatred is cyclical - you can choose whoever you like or dislike or whoever you want - but every human being is made by circumstance, shaped by their surroundings, if someone gets no love they won't know how to give it back, likewise if someone only knows hate, that's all they'll have to give.
The notion that there are inherently evil people is ridiculous to me, people are a product of their surroundings, make it hostile, they'll be hostile, make it friendly, they'll be friendly. In my experience, having much interest in people / psychology, this is just the way things go, try it for yourself or don't, idc.
To be clear, Naniwa might have many negative attitudes and as an evolving human being I am sure he'll have more (and I am also certain, that while you're happy to pass on judgement from your high horse; you do also). I think Nani has matured over the years, and as a parent I know that he is very caring for his kid and I've come to know good, kind, sides to him.
Regardless, whenever anyone acts out of line wearing the ROOT tag, it reflects poorly on the rest of the team and we take action accordingly, if it ever comes to that in Naniwa's case while representing us we'll re-evaluate, until then, I am happy to have gained a teammate and a friend in him.
At the end of the day, you can do things your way, I'll do things mine; but if you think actively shaming / hating / shunning people is going to ever make them feel or act any 'better', you're the delusional one.

Neeb is also bad at PvP compared to the other 2 matchups, has lost his last series against Gungfu as well, Gungfu's MMR is probably higher than Neeb at the moment etc
Neeb's ladder activity has been fairly minimal recently, basically has been off the radar for the last 3 weeks apart from a couple of games on NA. I guess he has other priorities at the moment but he can be relied on for weekly games during the regular season
Pretty happy Onsyde qualified, although it was bound to happen. WTL without Maru / INno didn’t feel the same for me so at least there will be Maru from now on
Pretty bad performance for me, I think I underranked TLK re-thinking about it, the Duckling I really didn't see coming.
How can you not believe in the Ducklings! ;; Honestly I think Dolan, PattyMac and Erik got unlucky in their matches, otherwise they could've each gone on solid runs too ;; Hopefully we can prove that in Code A when we qualify for Code S!

You must'nt take my oppinion too seriously lol
Very happy for y'all though! (+ we get more of your casting!)
Onsyde more like Offside today? It looks like all of us were wrong in the pool, as all 3 of Neeb, Maru and Solar suffered some insane upsets in the course of the qualifier and the Code A allready.

Thanks for this. I have historically been a fan of Naniwa although I cannot condone some of his behaviour and I certainly disagree with many of his opinions. I hope being in a supportive team environment is beneficial for all involved and I wish nothing but the best for all parties. I was also a bit surprised to see Nani on the roster, but my deep respect for Catz as a team leader reassured me that nothing at ROOT is done without reason. Thanks for the transparency and honesty and as always, ROOT4ROOT.

Thank you I appreciate that, as you can probably see from the twitter thread and here a lot of people are very quick to judge and try to impose their way of treating anyone that seems 'problematic' onto others, it's like the majority believes the best course of action is "everyone should ignore / only talk down/poorly about X person", as someone who is genuinely interested in understanding people of all kinds, this can be very frustrating - so again, really appreciate the vote of confidence / support.

\o/ All good, we are just poking fun. We didn't expect to have to qualify for Code S from the Lower bracket ;; we stumbled hard against IG unfortunately. Regardless we made it to Code S!
