WardiTV 2022 Series

We are happy to announce the WardiTV 2022 Series - our major tournament plan for the upcoming year of StarCraft 2. Over the past years we have continued to push the limits for WardiTV events with higher prize pools and more competitive tournaments. With the WardiTV 2022 Series we are aiming to streamline and connect our events to help provide the best StarCraft 2 tournaments possible. Please find detailed below our outline for the year.

$7,500+ WardiTV 2022
November-December 2022

WardiTV 2020 and WardiTV 2021 have opened the last two years of competition for WardiTV events and have been some of our largest events to date. What sets these events apart is the high prize pool given out in a tournament which wraps up over a few days instead of over a few weeks.

WardiTV 2022 will return with a guaranteed $7,500 prize pool, but instead of being our opening event of the year, it will be our closing event and act as our annual WardiTV championship, with WardiTV events throughout the year leading into this tournament - from seeding winners of major events directly into the tournament as well as players building up points throughout our events to qualify.

The 24 players will be made up of :
- Summer Championship, Spring Championship, Winter Championship, European League Winners [4 Slots]
- Top 6 EU players on WardiTV 2022 Series Points [6 Slots]
- Top 8 KR players on WardiTV 2022 Series Points [8 Slots]
- Top 2 non EU/KR players on WardiTV 2022 Series Points [2 Slots]
- 4 Players from last chance qualifiers [4 Slots]

$4,000+ WardiTV Championships



The main build up to WardiTV 2022 will come in the form of the four WardiTV Championship events, all tournaments which have provided hours of amazing games on the channel in previous years and iterations. Each of these four tournaments is guaranteed to have a $4,000+ prize pool, with the winner of each also being seeded into the afore mentioned WardiTV 2022 event.

These tournaments will run over slightly longer time frames, usually around one month, and will have smaller events built into them for qualifying. Each tournament will aim to have a different format as well, so as to keep the tournaments fresh and different. Exact information for each event will be announced later, but our expected time frame for each tournament are:

WardiTV Winter Championship : March 2022
WardiTV Spring Championship : April - June 2022
WardiTV Summer Championship : July - September 2022
WardiTV European League : September-October 2022

Minor WardiTV Events

One of the main goals of WardiTV has always been to ensure there is almost always StarCraft to watch - and this has not changed. While our focus will be on our five championship events, we will continue to run smaller events as needed. Anything from one day open cups to the 16-20 player invitationals we usually run will continue to appear when days seemingly void of StarCraft come around.

These events will give out WardiTV 2022 Series points to ensure any player taking part in our events is rewarded for their activity in our series and can make progress toward qualifying for our championships. Some of these tournaments will also act as qualifiers for our championship events.
