Dragon Phoenix Gaming announced that they had signed herO.
herO has always been a strong player in team leagues. He played for Triumphant Song Gaming and made significant contributions to the team's success, before leaving for military service in late 2019. He was back from the military just a month ago.
herO will fill in the team's Protoss quota, since Zest may leave for military service at some point.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. I guess that makes Classic to KaiZi a realistic option, after all they'll need their own returning Protoss now to get even.
As if DPG wasn't stacked enough already even with Zest on his way out due to military service in the future. At least it shuts down the rumors of herO possibly not coming back to playing SC2 after military service.
It's amazing how much progress military returnees have made in the last 18 months that they can be signed almost straight out of military. Would never have imagined it back when MMA, Taeja, fantasy etc were struggling
Congratulations to herO on signing with Dragon Phoenix Gaming.
Unfortunately I never saw his play as I took a hiatus from watching SC2 from 2013-late 2019, so the only "hero" I'm familiar with is formerly LiquidHerO.
Excited to see what DPGherO has in store for his post-military SC2 career.
