It's easy albeit necessary to ostracize the black sheeps from the community / society at large, but the core issues are way deeper than some extreme examples existing. It's everyday actions which allow this to foster, everyday actions which normalize toxic behavior en masse. To stay in gaming/media, it's things like 'joking' about gamer girls, putting them down, it's sexist tropes in storytelling, it's playing a game with voice chat and instantly go "grill" when a woman talks, it's a lot of stupid shit which is seen as normal and trains people to apply some fucked up standards. So yeah if you really want things to change then it has to come from way more basic things than calling out obvious crimes, you have to hold people accountable for their behavior in general, most importantly people you actually like. | ||

We've been friends/acquaintances for years and have a good relationship towards each other. I think it is pretty disrespectful that people are putting her and other people under the spotlight and scrutinizing really minute details. A lot of these allegations coming out now have existed for years, and in Rapid's case, back to 2014 from multiple people. Just because people are getting the courage now to speak publicly about them should not make them any less important. I think there is a really unhealthy attitude some people are holding in the Starcraft community about these problems. | ||
