iG literally destroyed them.

Edit: Also, since we all joked about TY's contract not getting renewed ealier this year - guess here's the reason for that.

The pandemic is quite a blow on most companies.I've heard rumors that TSG's sponsor had a hard time,so they couldn't sign new players. And the disband is really a shock to us.

Yeah, their sponser really depends on people going out, and current situation is a harsh time for all restaurants

Pandemic is probably not the only reason they quit. Actually, one of the main investors, Beijing Jingxi Culture and Tourism Company, has been suspected of financial fraud and has been investigated by Chinese police. Only the SC2 branch are disbanded, the other branches are still remaining.

Rumor says Cloudy will still remain in TSG as a manager.
And young (Wiki)Star will switch to Valorant.

Thank you all for additional information!

This really is quite sad. First Chivo, now TSG.

Interesting. Who are their other investors? Any site(s) with more comprehensive info would help greatly.

I think solar gets around $2500-3000? Not sure, may be too high because my references are zest's 8000 and Inno's 4000

The title should be replaced as "The SC2 division of TSG is closed."
I love SC2

Updated the post to reflect that only the SC2 division was disbanded. Still, for us SC2 fans that basically means that the team is gone entirely from our scene, so not really a huge difference practically. I guess they can always come back once the crisis has passed, which I sincerly hope they can do.

Zest making double Inno salary is really weird. Not saying anything, deals is up for teams and players but cmon.

It might just be that Zest has a much better contract but there can be other reasons. There's more a contract than just salary, e.g. hotel and flight payments, whether the team takes a prize cut, how much streaming you're expected to do, what commitment you're expected to give for minor tournaments, what level of photo op and signings you're down for, etc., etc.

Zest probably sells a lot more calendars than Inno
