The North American server qualifier for IEM Katowice 2020 has concluded, with Reynor, Maru, and Zest winning seeds into the round-of-24 of the main event, as well as flights and accommodation. Three more qualifiers will be held—one EU server qualifier and two Korean server qualifiers—awarding eight more seeds into the Ro24. Dark, the 2019 WCS Global Champion, has received an automatic seed.
The next qualifier for IEM Katowice is Korean server qualifier #1, held between January 8th-9th with community streamers broadcasting the matches.
The main IEM Katowice tournament will be held between February 24th and March 1st. It is set to be the first event in the newly announced ESL Pro Tour—the official successor to the previous World Championship Series system.
