Serral was the stand-out player on day two of GSL vs. The World, deflecting a bevvy of tricky openers from TY to advance by a 3-1 scoreline. Only an uncharacteristically poor bunker-rush defense caused Serral to eat a loss—otherwise he was able to put on a macro-game master class against one of Korea's top Terrans.
The next match saw Trap prevent Korea from going 0-4 against World players in the first round of the tournament, defeating HeRoMarinE 3-1.
SpeCial delivered the biggest upset of the night by sweeping Reynor, an opponent who had regularly tormented him in WCS Circuit competition. SpeCial employed sky Terran tactics in the first two games before finishing his opponent off with a clever mech-into-bio strategy in game three—he later credited the lengthy preparation period for his victory.
Classic closed out the Ro16 by eliminating fan-favorite FanTaSy. FanTaSy dealt Classic two early blows: taunting Classic by wearing a military cap before the series, and taking game one with an incisive mech-terran timing. However, FanTaSy's finesse was found lacking for the rest of the series, and Classic took a clean 3-1 victory.
GSL vs. The World will continue on August 17 with a marathon day three, with the quarterfinals and semifinals being played on the same day.

You heard it hear first, Neeb / Classic finals with Neeb winning. He will return with a triumphant roar to korea and snatch that trophy like it's 2016 Kespa Cup!
always the same time and time again (in an easy fashion) and what is tl bot saying: please dont blame imbalance cause there is no... but the results always tell a different story in PvT in these events. or as narutO or Special say: the 3 stands of zerg are free units, free units and free units!
And game 4 about made me puke. Tempests + battery rush is such a horrible design exploit and is just plain stupid to watch or to play against. Very disappointing game to end that series. Classic should've been 3-0'd.
