'Using a limited form of precognition, zealots can even predict enemy movements striking, with deadly accuracy and dodging attacks by inches.' -Starcraft2.com
This is my theory for this quote:
Personally I think that this is just a way to better balance between the 3 races. Just say that this quote indicated a +chance to dodge melee attacks...
This would be mainly aimed at balancing melee combat between Zealots and Zerglings. Using this technique they can focus on using hitpoints and shields for balancing the unit against all other units and the precognition to balance against zergling in particular.
Zealot vs Zealot = no difference Zealot vs Terrain = no difference (cuz they use guns not mellee) Zealot vs Zerglings (and other zerg melee) increased survivability.
What do you all think?

Zealots don't need to survive any longer vs zerlings in my opinion...

I dunno, with that charge attack it already looks pretty hard to outmicro zeals. Doubt they'll need an ability to dodge.

Luck shouldn't 't play a part in SC ;/

*rolls a 6, which is higher than your 3*
I win.

luck has ALWAYS played a part in SC. The percent chance of hitting when on lower ground. Sometimes you miss 3 times in a row, sometimes you don't miss at all. Many other ways luck factors in as well.

What i mean is 1 zealot = 2 marines = 4 zerglings. (if you go by population count)
With a ratio of 1:4 a small change to zealot or zergling hitpoints or armor would equate to a large difference. So if for example they thought the terrain were doing 10% too much damage to the zealots and upped the zealot armor by 10% to compensate.. this would make a hude difference to the damage that 4 zerglings do to them. So then they would have to up the zerg damage, but then the'y have to up the terran armor to compensate etc etc.
With a +dodge mellee setting for the zealots balancing the 3 becomes much more easy. for example: decrease zealot armor and increase chance to dodge = easier for marine to kill but still same for zerg.
see how the extra variable allows for balancing between 2 races without effecting the 3rd?
Just a theory

You at least have a bit of control over that luck. It's a nice reason to take high ground BW has other luck involved too.
I think what he meant was to diminish luck as much as possible.

Zergling *mutates to...* baneling. GG LEAVE ZEALOTS.

I thought that was just flavor text and didn't read into it at all. Now that you mention it though, that could either mean a passive dodge upgrade or an active dodge ability. If that quote actually holds meaning then it's probably the latter (maybe a +50% miss chance for 10 seconds or so?) It seems like a longevity upgrade better suits War3 though, not SC2.

...
The formidable physique of a zealot is further enhanced by cybernetic implants and their coveted power suit. Yet a zealot is far more than the technology he bears. Each Zealot is trained for decades in hand to hand combat, tactics, pain tolerance and martial discipline. Zealots are taught to hate their enemies with a white hot passion and to hunt them down without mercy.
All protoss have some psionic ability and zealots focus their minds exclusively on the pursuit of war. Focus crystals in their heavy forearm units enable zealots to channel their strength of will into blades of pure psionic energy - their primary melee weapons. Using a limited form of precognition, zealots can even predict enemy movements striking, with deadly accuracy and dodging attacks by inches.
Some Zealots have even developed the ability to turn their body into pure energy for a few microseconds. This allows them to move at lightning fast speeds and strike suddenly against an enemy that thinks they are out of range...
from here. I think it might just be a story/world/character background type of thing, not something in the actual game mechanics.

But anyways the resemblance to a zealot is that it can almost teleport to you (charge) and has alot of armor/health, and doesn't require much skill to use (auto-cast charge). I dunno it just reminded me of that build more than anything else for some reason (I guess a charger pally would be more appropriate but meh)

zealots are fine. i think the charge looks kinda cheesy but its good to make fights easier for them.
as for the dodge. screw that.
players like kingdom show what power zealot can do. makes lings look like crap.

Barbarians wearing the Enigma Rune Word armor. It grants +1 to Teleport (grants Teleport to any class) among other things. He basically explained it in his post.
