Nooooooo, now we will never know which progamers Elazer would take to rescue his loved ones from fierce pirates! I'm now rooting for him in all the following tournaments so Wax gets another shot at asking THE QUESTION.

Imo Wax should be suspended for this critical mistake.

You mean like Solar vs Elazer or Solar vs Nerchio (both in Blizzon)?

This is why we need Korea vs the GSL, hope Elazer can back it up his words.

Nice interview. Not sure what to do, to elevate the foreign Terran level. The only really good ones, got that good by living in KR :/.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

I meant Dark va Elazer and Serral, while Dark was still getting beaten up and down by Soo or some other Korean Zergs.

So not "every time", but "the 2 times I decided to pick"?

I don't see him getting into GSL vs The World over Snute or Scarlett tbh. Those two have just been around so long and have big fanbases.

But like I said in the other thread, he does, he has a chance if he gets a ZvZ against Dark or soO. Or goes up against Zest/sOs. Probably the best chance out of any foreigner for getting out the ro16

Elazer and Serral did put up good fights against Dark in some of their games.
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs

First of all, congratulations to Elazer, who deserved the championship for outclassing every zerg in a mostly zerg tourney.
Also, wp Snute, Major, and True.

But can we talk about player fatigue? I think it deserves a thread of its own.
I'm not discrediting the players who advanced when I state that from the semifinals (Ro.4) onwards all the players who lost ... well, their games looked really tired and more sloppy than should be allowable at that level. And it was more like they lost the games more than the opponent won them. I'm not going to mention the examples, but here are some:

TRUE: I don't know what this guy was doing. First, a hatch first on a rush map, then a rush on a macro map. But whatever.

SpeCiaL: He looked soooo tired after the match vs Neeb. And it showed in the match vs Snute. Seiging multiple tanks in clumps = nono. Losing multiple medivacs after drops by being careless about unloading marines on their way out of base = uncharacteristic.

Snute: Too much to talk about. But THAT HATCHERY! Like, lol, but seriously, why run the lings up the ramp at that time when he had more lings, no queens were in transfuse range, and the hatch was like 2 seconds of zergling attack away from falling. It was more than game pressure, there.

The above does not just apply to the last WCS event, although it was in Valencia that it really showed.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________

A modest proposal: Change Semifinals and Finals to be all best of seven (Bo7) like GSL and push it (Ro4 and Ro2) to another day or a long delay. I think we'll see more quality games, higher quality games, and better-prepared games with less slopiness at the end of the brackets this way, and it would be fun. Yes, I understand from the weekend tournament perspective, adding another day is kind of expensive. But guess what: Most people aren't drawn to esports by money in the first place. It's about game quality. Let's keep the quality of matches at the highest level going strong.

I think people may try to put a semi-asterisk next to this win just like they did w neeb's kespa cup win because it's so similar (playing a mirror match over and over to win)

which is unfortunate, but i guess there's always that risk whenever you play non-swiss formats

This is when I played my biggest idol in StarCraft II. Besides, maybe … one player that doesn’t play anymore...

= Life, I guess

Congrats! Well deserved victory!
