Just curious on why this post got a warning while the two posts above it are fine?

One of the big reasons probably is that it is the account's first post.

You can get away with stuff like that if you've been here for a while and are known to contribute aside from player bashing but as a first post it's not a good sign.

I don't think calling someone a moron is ever an acceptable thing.

But telling someone to literally 'fuck off' is? I smell double standards, moron isn't nowhere near the f-word IMO. Also, how are new posters supposed to know it's just okay to say sth. rude/offensive when you got more posts?

He got warned not banned. The warning was probably to let him know that he can't post like that with a brand new account.

I´m applauding the player and Blizzard! Good Job!
Will there be any legal action against Revolver?

Good riddance.

Thanks to the player who reported him!
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

I'm not even surprised, after tons of bshit he threw inside CIS scene that news should be considered as positive.

Is anyone remembers Fraer? Revolver was the reason Fraer stopped playing on competitve scene.

Always sad to hear stuff like this, but at least we can take solace in the fact that he got caught and that the majority of the player base is honest.

Maybe we'll see him as an OW pro unless he's banned from all Blizzard games.
The OW community seems to be pretty lenient towards matchfixers as long as it happened in another game and have no issues with signing pro contracts with them.
I mean nobody wants to admit they eat 9 cans of ravioli, but I did and I'm ashamed of myself. The first can doesn't count and then you get to the second, and the third. The fourth and fifth I think I burnt with the blow torch and I just kept eating.

He is banned from all Blizzard competetions, so no OW for him.

There has been no proof. In fact, even if they did leak some of the stuff Hillary did, then at best you could say the Russians did the job the MSM should have done.

As for the topic at hand: I am glad Blizzard gets rid of these people and makes public announcements. Hopefully it will scare some people enough never to consider it.

Where is Byun's ban?

Im wondering if this was intended as a set-up which then backfired. Why else impersonate a caster? If the other player said "yes" and Revolver reported him, this story could've come out quite differently

Still, impersonating a caster trying to get a fellow competitor to commit an offense is disgusting to say the least.

Revolver is a very very shady player, I'm not sure that was the first and only match fixing incident. Finally, he was caught. GJ Blizzard, match fixing is a cancer of e-sport!

Unfortunate that this happened, dunno how anyone could possibly think they could get away with something like this in such a small, tight-knit, and mostly-transparent community.

I now will call that this case be known as the "Russian Roulette" incident (because he is Russian and his name is Revolver and he shot himself in the face with this move).
I used to play random, but for you I play very specifically.

Also, how are new posters supposed to know it's just okay to say sth. rude/offensive when you got more posts? Shouldn't guidelines apply to everyone equally? Just saying that moderating that post probably wasn't a brilliant move to begin with.

I was drunk, I blame the alcohol. =P Normally I would put some more thought into my post and it probably would have still ended with something like "glad he's not in the scene anymore" Instead, the spirits in me told me to just get straight to the point! I mean, I get equality and all that jazz but seeing how long I've been on TL and the contributions I've made toward sc2 show I actually care about the community. Where as Mr. 1st post player basher usually isn't a good sign. :\

Revolver always was a shady guy, doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
Former ESL League Operations. I ran IEM/WCS for like 3 years or something. I did map vetos on a tablet. That guy.

It was late 2014, both Fraer and Revolver played go4sc2 (or zotac, back in days they were pretty much twins), was it weekend or midweek I don't remember, wasn't able to find the grid for now. Second or third round from the tournament start and Revoler set to play vs Fraer, as it was excected Fraer won.

So here the story starts. Back in days Fraer was a Crimea resident, as you may know there were some problems between Russia/Ukraine and Crimea. Blizzard set sanctions especially for those region, so players are unable to participate. Pretty much anyone in CIS community knew that, and no one reported Fraer for playing from Crimea, everyone was fine, cause we're community! (Blizz seems like didn't knew or didn't care to check players IP's).

But Revolver decided to report esl admins about Fraer playing Blizzard SC2 from region he was not allowed to play. Pedantic admins made their decision, which caused:

Revolver advanced over Fraer to next round, where he was eliminated by someone (maybe Kas)

Fraer wasn't allowed to play go4sc2, his IP adress was mentioned by Blizz, end of sc2 career pretty much

That story is a cherry on your cake, I've seen Revolver streamsniping Demuslim, Stephano, Bly.
I've seen him acting like a scum with all those players using barcode.
And there is some evidence him betting on his own loses.

The only thing why I was surprised is why it took so long to get rid of him.

I hope it reveals why the last time people mentioned Fraer in sc2 community was late 2014.
