Regardless of the situation, we will still action upon "dead game" comments. As this is a sensitive issue for SC2 fans, please do not come into this thread and talk about SC2 players switching over to BW. This thread is also not about bashing Blizzard, David Kim, or the WCS system.

With no Proleague, sustaining teams with adequate housing and salaries and such is an even bigger waste of money than it already was.

It's not "just" proleague people, about 40 of the best SC2 players just got teamless. How many will be forced to retire is what I'm worried about

The teams pay a large number for their players per year + teamhouse operation. SC II is just not worth it. And moving a teamhosue wasnt either.

Wouldn't be surprised if 10-12 guys retire or switch games in the next 24-48 hours.

A bunch of them will probably switch games. Some might go to the military, some might go back to BW. Really I only expect the ones who are very successful atm to stick around for SC2. And that's not guaranteed at all.

End of an era. I remember accidentally stumbling upon the Yongsan stadium as i was exploring the mall there on my first trip to Korea. Got to see Jaedong play (SC1) vs a team for the life of me i cannot remember...good times! GG Proleauge!

Yeah I would have expected Sorry to retire regardless honestly.

Yeah, he wasn't even in the main lineup because of the 8 player limit

That's the thing I'm worried about too. I know they say GSL is on next year, but where are they're going to get the players from if WCS is still ongoing?

KT actually made a tweet yesterday that showed the players and Ryu Won in the teamhouse (it was Ryu Won's birthday). So that's interesting.

He doesn't have a Liquipedia page so there is no evidence to the contrary.

It's not. I would think the teams would give the departing players a certain period of time to work out their new living arrangements. So while they be teamless, the SC2 players aren't homeless quite yet.

Not to mention half the KT team is competing at Blizzcon. Probably nice enough to let them continue until then.

Yeah but it was reported - and technically confirmed by Stats - that they moved out of their old teamhouse. Was it worth the effort to move to another teamhouse for the two or whatever months the players might still live there before they have fully arranged something else?
