(On a side note, I hope we won't have to mute the stream every engagement and 'gg' when Tasteless casts.) Tasteless and Maynarde casting at the same time would probably be the SC2 casting equivalent of shotgun blast in terms of noise.

I'm wondering if the players affected by the Korean news will be trying twice as hard to win to get what they might feel is a "final payout" or if all the wind will have gone from their sails.

I was thinking about the same thing. Maybe that's why they are loading up on casters as well. To give people a chance to say farewell... Anyway, foreigners don't care. Their scene is still kicking.

I think everyone deals with this kind of issue differently. You can reasonably assume the players knew about this well in advance. Some players definitely still seem very motivated.

Blizzcon has always had this many casters, or close to it.

Why do they still use the word "talent"? are other people not "talented"?

Wolf and valdes really should have been there. They have done so much for this game.
|
Why is Apollo the host and not a commentator?
Honestly they should get rid of half of the casters... Really don't like some of them...

Seriously tho, I'm sure you noticed a bit of quality drop in Korean SC2 this year as well? It was weird to see so many of them not adapting to LotV, it surely felt like a lot of them weren't as motivated as before..

With the death of SC2 in Korea... The death of proleague, until we know more about WCS next year I think it's probably to early to call it dead - or more dead than it was anyway.

Hmm, as said previously in this thread I too would have liked Valdes and Wolf. Valdes has grown to become a great caster these days, I'll admit I wasn't really a fan of him at the start but we can all change our minds.
I'm so glad we've got the insight from Apollo, he knows so much about the Korean scene, especially how alive it is.
Made up TB is there!! Go TB!!

Stats was said by CranK to still be super passionate and motivated for LotV (and he shows it with all his appearances in online cups).

when Apollo basically had "god" status on GR.Org and i was a nobody Apollo always helped me out. I can't speak for everyone... but for me Apollo is a super first class all around great guy. a bit of a party animal.. but hey... its video games.. i think we're supposed ot have some fun.
if the guy decided to get a real job good for him. i wish him the best of success.
its great to see Apollo at Blizzcon!
