Do you really have to go out of your way to turn a completely unrelated thread into balance whine?

No but apparently you do?

Wow I thought this was just a thread bump from when he retired last year... Weird - I expected him to stay around a while and not immaturely retire so soon (immature considering the timing linked to recent events). There was so much hype around his return and today was the first time I've even seen him play since he came back. To just end it so quickly feels wrong but hey - his choice!

Well it might be smaller but i still have no problem finding the games and ppl to play basically anything SC2 has to offer now

Also Blizzard is way more aftive in SC2 now than it was in WoL. Please stop living in the past

I'll always remember him as the best European patchzerg. Not even in a bad way, he was truly the best broodlord pusher in the game at one point.

Sorry to break yours and other balance/dead game whiners bubble, but the population of sc2 is pretty much what it used to be back @ hots times. It's only people who want to find an excuse to not play anymore, blame the game instead of their own shortcomings, they are the only ones saying bad things about SC2.

Fact is that SC2 is one of the best RTS games of all times, game still has sponsors support, tournaments all over the world and HUGE player base for a RTS game.

At least somebody gets it.

The Duran brothers are so skilled they can go to any DH or European tournament with minimal practice and take home prize money. Everybody must follow their heart. Good luck Vortix.

That's not true. In 2014 the number of active ladder accounts got as high as 422k. Immediately before the LotV release the number of active HotS players was at 331k. The most players LotV ever had was 251k, last season there were 205k, which is not even half of what HotS had at times.

Which only accounts for 1v1 ladder statistics, which mean nothing compared to the sc2 population.

instead of their 1-4 games in 1on1 ladder, people play Co op now, or archon which you dont find in those stats.
(people have more options now)

What was the number blizzard posted? 2 million people play sc2 every month, that 1on1 ladder stat is pretty small percent then.

Everyone I talk to seems to have a sort of apathy from so much of their SC2 knowledge being invalidated in LotV. I had the exact same feeling but once I pushed through it, game is such an improvement over HotS. Still not perfect by a long shot but I really think a lot of people didn't give it a fair go.
