Today we are sad to announce that Choi "Polt" Seong Hun, a staple figure in the StarCraft scene, will be parting ways and no longer game under the CM Storm banner. Source Polt has since stated in interviews that he is looking for a new team and does not plan on retiring in the foreseeable future

As is also mentioned by others, the lack of new blood coming from Korea and also the amount of teams whose involvement in Starcraft 2 is coming to an end is quite worrying. | ||

can be compete in foreign events? if he can't then he has little reason to be a professional starcraft player. i thought he was studying in the US. | ||

He can technically play in all WCS events, just to play in smaller events he can't go through online qualifiers but instead has to go play offline qualifiers/open brackets etc. Doesn't really matter much for him though, since he hasn't done military service yet his WCS life would have ended after this year anyway. | ||

Hopefully Polt stays in SC2 for another year or so. After that I can see him retiring and moving on. Will be sad nonetheless. | ||

- This was known for a little while and CM Storm as a whole is slowly leaving eSports, not just SC2 so all that crap talk can stop - The contract wasn't cancelled, it just wasn't renewed - He's not retiring - He's not leaving the US When reddit is more up to date on the reality of the situation you know TL readers are not paying attention. | ||
