How could any work get done with a language like that? Someone hasn't seen finnish, hue hue. Or the perennial champion of english-speakers slayin', hungarian.

And he did revive Brood war so I won;t forget that. Tell that to Intotherainbow who put all his savings into it. What Sonic did is really bad.

How could any work get done with a language like that? It becomes easier the moment you realize certain consonants are pronounced differently in Polish and some consontant clusters (e.g. "ci", "ch", "rz", "dz", "dzi") are not pronounced seperately and produce a single sound. I never understood the notion of hard pronounciation in Polish, especially if you are familiar with a language / accent that is rhotic (like Spanish, or even better - Scottish). If you do try to pronounce everything seperately and the "english way" it does tend to sound ridiculous as fuck though English isn't better actually. In which other language can a vocal be part of a consonant like "ti" in "nation" stands for "sh" or the german "sch".
Also look at this: gh in "laugh" = f o in "women" = i ti in "nation" = sh So "ghoti" in english pronounciation could sound like "fish"...
@topic I feel kinda dumb now for bragging in front of my friends with those sbenu SSL-Badges

Why can't we have one nice new sponsor that is really passionate about the scene and isn't completely shady as fuck???

Anyway, I am incredibly disapointed in these turn of events. I thought Sonic had a beautiful story, a fan of Starcraft fan, becoming rich and successful and helping prop up professional Starcraft.
Now with the two trademark issues, this is completely unsalvageable. What a shame!

Get carried away? It seems he systematically lied and put a lot of people and put a lot of people's financial livelihoods down the tubes for nothing.

Well esports is shrinking, starcraft tournaments vanish, not many reasons left to follow esports

Esports shall live. As long as there is Choya. Choya is the Way. Choya is Love. Choya is Life.

I guess Brood War looks like its shrinking because Sonic created an unsustainable bubble with the last few big production Sonic Starleagues. But overall the interest/viewership is still there.

you watch esports because other people watch esports? That's a dumb reason. You should watch it because you like it.

Not to mention if "esports" is dependent on a nearly 20 year old game it's in trouble anyway.

BW is doing fine. We have the TLC. As long as there is TLC there will be BW.

Why does everything have to be too good to be true in esports. It's a natural attractor for shady businessmen somehow.

Because there ain't no such thing as a free lunch. esports need to turn a profit to be sustainable. Passion =/= money. Sonic may have passion for starcraft, but that doesn't give him the $2million he needs to sustain the business.
