this is mostly for the German (speaking) fans, but RocketbeansTV, an ambitious 24/7 livestream project, have a format for Starcraft 2. One of the main hosts, Budi, is a huge Starcraft nerd and thought of the show together with his friend and co-host Simon.
The show concept is simple: They play 2-3 hours each week on stream, getting coached by Honor(german pro player and coach) and try to reach gold together. Sounds like not much? Well, these guys are absolutely TERRIBLE. So it's quite ambitious.
The previous 2 episodes of the show were 1 hour only and without Honor. They played 5 placement matches, lost all of them and got placed in Bronze.

Budi has some experience in playing SC2. But Simon...he's terrible, which makes the whole format pretty entertaining. It's good to see content like this. The language barrier might be too much for most people to enjoy watching the vods, but they're still quite funny. You'll see...things.

It's so funny how amazed Simon and Budi are when Honor takes over after Budi drops. Honor plays and wins "1v2", Simon and Budi get super excited about it. Contagious to see how impressed they are! (Skip to 30:50 in the second VOD to see how Honor takes up Simon's spot.)
The chat went crazy about it as well, so many SC2 newbies impressed by Honor. I wish I could experience Starcraft for the first time again as well

This show is so good, definitely a highlight in my week now, I love the format . Would be nice if there could be subs on youtube for the international audience.
Subbing the whole thing would be fun, but my hopes are more or less that they start doing it in Denglisch so that everyone can enjoy it (they did that with a few formats already, it's super funny and easily understandable for english/german speaking guys)

After last weeks show i really have an itch to go back into sc2 after months of not playing AiHonor is doing a great job on teaching them the basics. I really hope they keep this show running for quite some time.
On the "Denglisch" subject. Personally i wouldn't like it, but if the demands is big enough i wouldn't mind them doing it. Is there a possability for viewers to add sub to youtube videos ? Maybe the community could translate it for the non german speaking audiance.

Personally hoping for a LotV release show as well, Starcraft_DE at least confirmed beta keys for them already
It's really awesome to see how addicted Simon is, btw. He has a fulltime job with all of this but still finds the time to ladder at like 5 AM. He's currently a silver hero as well:
They are also having a Community Beef Starcraft II today. (Format idea is basically: They play vs the community, all kinds of games) So you can play against them tonight!
Bumping this thread to let you guys know that they will be streaming LotV in a few minutes, also as it is their weekly SC2 day we might get 4 hours of LotV action!
Their new format is now called "Call of Budi". Straight To Gold is on Hiatus since Simon has too much work, but he still plays SC2 privately(mainly Legacy Of The Void).
Now Budi is playing 1v1 vs the community. The community applies to play via videos, then they play vs Budi. If they win vs Budi, they get to play in a small community tournament with prices!

Thanks for posting this, there's a real lack of Starcraft shows that don't just focus on scene drama and what's OP. I found the german pretty easy to understand too.
To be fair Honor should just teach him some Mech play. Bio vs Zergs that make heavy use of Banelings is just a pain to play against. Mostly because of the lack of Micro that does not allow for big splits.
