Matchfixing is a very serious offence and accusations of matchfixing should not be made lightly. Please avoid making accusations against specific individuals unless you have substantial proof, or until further information is released. (0620 KST) |

And 2k in 15m is some sort of hourly rate.

Wtf is Pinnacle? Never heard of it... T__T
People should stfu if there is no real evidence.

One odd betting pattern doesn't mean the match is being thrown. There's whole lot of baseless accusations going on here and it's sad that San is being thrown under the bus like that when there's no concrete proof yet.
If we are just going to accuse things without evidence, I can say that Pinnacle notice some big bets were made on Dark and there would be huge payouts, so they decide to pull this stunt to avoid paying. Just saying.

If you don't bet or live in the US then you don't know, but that's a poor reason to dismiss them completely.

Edit: I haven't read this in a while, notice that KeSPA even states that other players and teams have been approached to throw games? Crazy stuff, and that was 8 months ago.

Can you fucking stop just_mo. Do you really just want to see a guy you haven't mets life get ruined without any proof whatsoever?
San even said he has been to the hospital, it should be stupidly easy to check if that's true. And Dark is playing really well now. San losing that game is no surprise. He did some mistakes but who doesn't do that.

What I get from reading this entire thread is it was a bad match from San due to his health issue; and that just_mo guy & some others are trying to do some PR for esport betting in general and Pinnacle in particular.
I get that you guys have a lot of knowledge about betting, we haven't got a clue, but IMHO you should just gtfo and do your marketing somewhere else.

This thread needs a mod note.

ITT a bunch of people decide not to make their minds on stuff without seeing proof, and a small amount of people claim in return that the others are naive for not having inconditional trust in things they can't see.
That makes sense.

If San is innocent, its does suck for him, but in all honestly the greater danger is the integrity of the competition.
That has been called into question by Pinnalce, and as fans of the sport, we should insist that this matter get a great deal of attention.
Everyone is SC2 will have their livelihood ruined if fans don't believe in the sanctity of the competition.

Sorry for thinking San is a honest person, I guess have to have the opinion everyone is out for a quick buck?

This thread is a huge mess.
Is there a strange betting pattern? Yes, Pinnacle says so.
Is there evidence (and I am saying ACTUAL EVIDENCE, not conjecture) that the match was fixed, let alone that San in particular was payed to throw the game? No, nothing indicates that.
So people should really stop talking shit on San for no reason whatsoever. It's fucking innocent until proved guilty, not the opposite. Besides, that's not our job to investigate on this, it's KeSPA's.

http://www.pinnaclesports.com/en/notice/esports-statement?ito=twitter Pinnacle said that the match "was not played on a fair basis"
What could that mean other than players were involved?
The math adds up to San threw the match. He's the one person that could control this outcome. At this point I think the onus is on him and KESPA to show that he didn't.

Hope this is resolved soon and we get some information. It's completely different stories. EffOrt and Hydra were accused apparently by Coach Park without any evidence, so there was just black cat between them. Pinnacle is respected though, so it's not cool. Even though, i don't see how T1 player can be involved in it, with oov even saying that he won't talk to Bisu at all if he plays showmatches against saviOr and San throwing intentionally seems random. Hope for best things ofc. Dark is obviously not involved. If he was involved he could have just told San to go nexus first and 9-pooled him or something like that. Shut up if your match fixing you gotta make it believable so fucks like you fall for it So? What's unbelievable about what I said? It happens reasonably often, actually it happened in the last game of Soulkey vs San in GSL a few days ago...
But does san often nexus first?
