WCS AM will continue to include LatAm, Oceania/SEA, CN, and TW/HK/Macau, you can all stop freaking out about it. |

I WANTED TO EMBARASS JAEDONG AGAIN - Has/Jim/All of China Jaedong just needs to buy a house and move here like the for-fathers intended him to. Then we can be the hero we need until we can raise our own to challenge the Korean overlords.

Hope Blizzard will run a WCS Asia, and let GSL be a stand alone tournament with WCS Points similar to KeSPA Cup.

Will all of WCS NA migrate to WCS EU?
|
Ugh god fucking damn it. This is so stupid. NA players will not step up their game in response to this. And KR better get significantly more prize money and WCS points to compensate or else we will have mass retirements and the whole thing turning into a complete joke.

i don't think europe wants that "independence day". i think they quite enjoy getting better. the high amount of koreans in europe helps european foreigners a lot.

I think there are more pros in Asia/SEA/Australia more than just NA/CA/MX. Not that it matters, they're all playing in WCS NA.

wonder how the finished product will look, I actually enjoyed how this year went. If they do a full region lock, it will be foreigners being slaughtered in every tournament again, apart from WCS that would be lol.

Good and realistic thoughts on the changes.

Stupid fucking idea. I don't see how this is going to help StarCraft at all. All it means is that there will be less hype, more retirements, and a lower standard of games. I currently have monthly subscriptions for all WCS regions. I think I'll only keep GSL now because WCS EU and AM just got considerably less exciting for me now. Particularly WCS America which has my favourite players in it.
I though the format worked well this year. I was hoping they'd keep it the same for 2015 but reintroduce the Season Finals which were incredibly hype.
Fucking hell this makes me really sad.

More than that, there was absolutely no whine about the system this year. Actually, the whine that happened was that blizzcon wouldn't be competitive enough because of the people scoring points in WCS EU and America. This will be even "worse" (if you thought that was a bad thing) next year.

Did you guys not fully read or something? Also, yes everyone knows something has to be done to accommodate the Korean scene say something new already!

Why don't they change the name from WCS NA to some other name since there are more non American countries represented than there are North American?
|
Me and TB share thoughts on this. This is pretty much all bad for Koreans and all good for foreigners but we'll see the skill gap widen as we now have welfare tournaments.
