You seem to know pretty much everything that is involved with this drama.
Also I hope kespa can do something for prime:/

Chuddinater works for KeSPA, I believe.

Yes this happens all the time in the business world. But most businesses don't have a bunch of angry pre-pubescent boys rallying behind their cause. A big mistake from Tt. A good section of their customer base will boycott them now.
|
Let's see how this works out. I'm positive that both parties will reach an agreement soon, especially considering how heavily invested Tt is in competitive gaming.

Gj Tt................ making e-Sports look like a joke. Now I know I won't buy anything from them atleast. (Unless they man up and pay all the money they owe and never do crap like this again).

Is this for the whole of 2014? Because it sounds like they haven't been paid for the last month...

KeSPA will get involved with this I guess. Would love for something like it to rise in the west, but unfortunately it's a ton easier when KeSPA only have to handle koreans, and not 50 of the other foreigner nationalities :/

I hope KeSPA gets involved. And now I remember one reason to like KeSPA. I know there are more, but, I have lingering jadedness toward them, from BW days. And because they still penalize people for saying gg in the wrong language etc. K I feel jaded again.

One entity not paying another. How many times have I heard this in the SC2 scene before?

I don't know if you've ever used any of the TT equipment, but the Theron mouse is pretty much the best mouse I've ever laid my hands on, literally feels like an extension of my hand.
Also I hope this gets rectified quickly, I respect TT as a company and would hate for something like this to damage that.

Hrmmpf I hole Artosis and WhiteRa get payed. I Like My TT-Hammer ^.^.
IM used the "LG" tag to their advantage as well. If a team carries this name before them they have much cred.

It's not rude to ask. I'm not a prominent figure in e-Sports and I honestly prefer it that way. But my name is Stephen and I work on the business team at KeSPA. I deal with all the foreign companies, PR, and stream. Since TT esports is a Taiwan based company I have been the person speaking with them for the past 2 weeks to resolve this issue without having to go through other legal channels. I have discussed the contract extensively with TT esports and can guarantee that Prime has done nothing to violate the contract and has always been very quick to send whatever they were asked.
The biggest issue within e-Sports right now is that companies think they can just do what they want. They don't fear any repercussions for violating a contract and not paying because they don't think they have to. However, even if these companies can get away with it with no repercussions in other places in the world, KeSPA won't let this happen in Korea and to our teams. For the sake of creating a strong e-Sport environment around the world it is up to fans to not allow things like this to pass. In the end the fans are the strongest voice in e-sports. You pay money to buy the products, you watch the games, and you are the reason e-Sports exists. You can voice your opinion by posting to their twitter or facebook and by not buying their products. Save e-Sports by complaining to Tt esports and not buying their products.

I just posted this on their Facebook account. I guess that's the only thing i can do for Prime:
" Why are you guys not paying up the Sponsorship funds for SC2 Team Prime? Are you guys not ashamed after 2.5 years of working together, to breach the sponsorship contract like that? I'm a big fan of SC2 White-ra and was considering to buy your content, but after reading this I won't.

Not willing to start a shitstorm, but to raise TTesport's awareness, I think tweeting and facebooking them cannot be a bad thing.

To be honest, it is a little bit weird for Tt to sign such a long term contract(2.5 years) with Prime, especially considering Prime was always one of the most unstable teams in eSF... Maybe Tt never have the desire to fulfill the whole contract even at the beginning.
However, as a veteran SC2 fan who have followed for 4 years, I really hope Prime's situation can get better and better. We have seen too many teams disbanded these years.

I guess it's a good time for me to buy a new Prime uniform.

To be honest, Tt eSports is the least professional and most disorganized of all the gaming peripheral companies. I'm only speaking from experience dealing with their North American office, mind you. Their North American office has been a complete mess for several years, they haven't had a stable esports/marketing person (they've had 5 people since 2011 hold the job); and they usually take anyone competent and send them to the global office (Eric).
To give some more info and a story - we, CSL were sponsored by Tt eSports in 2011 and renewed the sponsorship in 2012. They had committed 10k for our finals, which was live in Florida with Day9 casting. The reason was they were planning a new product launch around that time, in June, and wanted to put a lot of marketing into promotion of the product in NA, a strategy they haven't really done before (most of their focus has been in Asia, where they're really big). Everything was cool, this was all agreed upon by their NA director at the time.
Two weeks before the final, we got notice that 'oh, our product launch date changed so we aren't putting in this budget.' Just like that we lost half our budget for the event, everything (production, casting, had already been paid out of my pocket. We scrambled to figure out a solution and escalated the issue up to their global office and we ended up getting 3k out of them. We ran a fundraiser via TL and ended up raising 5k to cover most of the player flights and it ended up being a fun event, but that was the end of our relationship with Tt eSports.
We've worked with Razer since then and they've been very professional and awesome. <3 Razer
