Do we know anything about PL's status? Seems like they're running out of teams.

Not trying to doomsay here but the STX coach/head guy also announced that STX was not disbanding live on stage when STX won PL. We can't really take a forum post as complete confirmation. All signs point to proleague continuing in some form though.

Really sad about IM though, seems just a while ago they were looking positive with LG and one of the teams we though were safe from disband. Sadly we'll see more teams/players going away. Wouldn't be surprise to see a few merges between non-original Kespa teams.

Ever since the bw teams switching over the Korean sc2 scene (referring to pro players) has been too big for its own good. Consolidation has just taken too long, which makes it seem more painful than neccessary.

I hope it will be longer than just one more season. Without Proleague you'd have no Jin Air Green Wings, SKT1, KT Rolster or Samsung Galaxy Khan. The teams would just disband and all these players would be without teams. Some would be picked up but a lot wouldn't and would have to retire. It would be the beginning of the end for StarCraft in Korea. That said I think Proleague will be safe. I can't see it stopping. What kind of viewer numbers do SPOTV get in Korea from the Korean viewers?

Viewership, threads, have gotten smaller. Let's not get doom and gloom and say it'll be dead soon, but to say it's going as expected or there not need to worry is just shortsighted. It's trending downwards sadly or at the very least stagnating.

Besides, I'm guessing IM will be absorbed by Startale and we'll have Startale in Kespa. *butseriouslyproleagueplzi'mgoingtokoreanextyeariwanttogotoproleague;o;*

On the topic again, I wonder if it's possible they'll simply fill their roster with lesser-knowns. Someone pointed out that's what they did for their LoL team. It's not the same as having heavy hitters on their team but.
