Are you implying HuK either cheated or there was some sort of conspiracy? Well, first time for everything i guess.

also, didnt saw JYP play lately.. don't know if he will be able to be in a top tier team.
Gl for him !

I find him really funny most of the times, he has nice commentary (keeps u pumped up in a game) and so on..but honestly not worthy of the roster itself considering he plays less then he comments and so on. But again i honestly enjoy all of his games win or loss - Jaedong ....was a beast in SC:BW..is a beast even now. I really want to see him win a major live tournament but it seems he got unlucky a lot. Jaedong for EG (valuewise) is like Taeja for TL. - Suppy ...good zerg but probably the same as what i said for DeMuslim - ThorZain....dude is gone......i shamelessly even forgot about him till i read the roster. Must have IRL stuff to do. - Xenocider .... not much i can say about him as i haven't seen him that often.
That's about all. EG's roster overall doesn't look that great honestly...but if u compared it to TL's team...well...TL has TaeJa and a "bunch of other dudes".....and that just about covers TL. The 1 man team.
Ur actually completely wrong team Liquid is the best foreign team atm with some of the best foreigners but u wouldn't know that because clearly u dont follow sc2.

This is really sad, JYP has been one of my favorite players even before the days of JYPvZ back in WoL.
Hope to see you have great success JYP! <3

I'm pretty sure R1CH has always been a fan of JYP He was one of my favorite protoss players to support, and he seemed like such an excellent teammate from what I saw on twitter and stuff. Sad to see him leave EG

Sad but not surprising. I miss watching JYP in proleague and his amazing singing!
EG definitely isn't what it once was but it's still my favorite team. I'd like to see them pick up another player though as the roster is half of what it used to be. Gotta make tough business decisions though I guess.

With the exception of Jaedong, why does the EG roster look like a group of tranditionally underperforming players, occupied school students, or "wannabe" casters? Don't get me wrong, I think these guys are great, but it does not look like a high level team anymore.
EG roster : DeMusliM - Wannabe caster and continuously underperforming. White-ra (who most consider retired) beat him in the last HSC. HuK - defeated by Sjaac first round of MLG iNcontroL - Wannabe caster more than player Jaedong - Only high level EG player (imo) Suppy - Student - fulltime school at UC Berkeley ThorZaIN - Student Xenocider - Very young and I'm still perplexed with this EG pickup. I don't know the last thing he has won or even participated.

I loved JYP in Slayers-EG. That clutch last pick against TSL (I think) was amazing. He will be missed.

My impression is that EG always went for players because of marketing value, rather seldomly because of skill. Jaedong is the prime example for that. When playing proleague, the roster was deepened with Oz and Revival - the experiment failed, and I assume it was financially the nail in the coffin for an actually active SC2 squad. As much as I miss the Idra/Huk/Puma-EG times, I just wish them all the best in other games, and of course hope the existing SC2 squad does not go down. I'd love to see Suppy and Xeno improve and appear moreoften, I'd love to have Thorzain back in his prime form, the spoon terran. JYP leaving EG just sucks - I hope he'll make the best out of this decision.
My hopes go to LotV by now, I am disappointed of HotS - and I think I'm not the only one so far. Best of luck to EG and JYP!

He's the only EG foreigner to actually win a 10k bucks in 2013, afaik.

Dropping out of WCS NA was a huge blow to his motivation/desire to continue to be a progamer afaik. Following that loss he was "afk" for nearly a month missing clan wars and was uncreachable via online communication. He took that loss really hard It's super hard to be a progamer in korea atm with there being more talented players and fewer teams/leagues etc that are willing to pay said progamers for their talents. JYP has been with us for a long time and he is a fucking awesome human being. Always friendly and complementary, willing to practice at any time and in his day was a helluva protoss. JYP will be missed <3 PS! As an aside.. one cool story about JYP and how he joined EG: Puma and JYP were/are good friends and when Puma knew he would face MC in the finals of NASL he practiced as much as he could for this matchup as he knew those finals would change his life. Naturely at a US based tourney like this he didn't have weeks or even days to practice he had THAT night so he reached out in need of a friend/progamer to help him practice TvP and as the hours were horrible for his korean brethren most said no due to the fact that they'd have to play from something like 5am - 10am or whatever. Only JYP said yes staying up and playing at horrible hours for as long as Puma needed to help his friend win the NASL. After that Puma asked that JYP join the otherwise all non korean lineup of EG. Management fell in love with a guy that had such a great work ethic and dedication to his fellow teammate(s) so the choice was easy! Love ya JYP <3
always good to hear those stories! hope he finds a good team soon!
