Any apology from KeSPA or money (compensation) to Gumiho due to this accident?

A general sympathetic apology is nice but compensation, are you serious?

Why would he not be serious? That could of caused serious injury.

You feel it's normal to receive financial compensation every time something could have (!!) caused serious injury?

Americans do that.

You've gotten American and Europe confused

I'm hardly an expert, but aren't lawsuits in general much more common in the US than they are in Europe?

He said it helped him. New proleague strategy. Booths will be rigged to collapse on certain nervous players to help them calm down. Prediction is that Liquid`HerO will be next

if it were proven that the studio actually failed to meet a reasonable safety standard, he could still sue. but unless there's evidence of that he cannot. arguing that he deserves compensation by default is saying that the minimum safety standard is perfection, which would make all business and industry worldwide legally impossible

It depends where you live. In Denmark for instance, it is only possible to sue for tort if there is an actual loss, regardless of how badly the situation turned out. South Korean law is largely based off German law, so i would assume that is is far more civil than American law.

interesting, thanks for the detail!

Glad that he is ok and that he was able to win afterwards too. It would be so frustrating to be distracted by that for the rest of the match and then lose as a result!

in america you can get a compensation if you break into someone's house and slip on their wet floor

Well most of the time you get shot right after that under stand-your-ground law, so compensation doesn't really matter at that point .

What if Naniwa actually left IEM because he was worried about the structural integrity of the booths?

Would KeSPA allow a regame in that spot? Pretty sure your booth swatting you in the head is fair grounds for a regame, regardless of the situation in game.

I imagine that some players would kind of get calmed down by that kind of absurd event. It would probably wreck the shit out of my nerves though

This was no accident. It was planned and prepared carefully beforehand so the booth would hit his head at the precise spot that would awaken his dormant brain cells and increase his micro and macro ability ten fold.
