In a group where two Koreans seemed to have Ro16 spots on lockdown, Russian Zerg Vega.LiveZerg came through with the biggest upset of the season so far.
LiveZerg began by scoring a 2-1 victory over two-time WCS Europe finalist Acer.MMA, using a 1/1 roach timing to claim victory in game one and fending off a gold float all-in build from MMA in game three on Habitation Station. LiveZerg then proceeded to defeat another Korean Terran in Mill.ForGG, expertly using vipers to crush ForGG's mech Terran compositions in a 2-0 rout.
MMA almost found himself falling out of the group in last place when he went up against Mill.Dayshi loser's match, falling behind heavily in game three as the series was tied 1-1. Unfortunately for French fans, Dayshi committed a series of errors to blow his advantage, giving MMA the opportunity to comeback and earn a final match against ForGG for the second place spot.
Although Dayshi lost to MMA, Group G would see a Millenium Terran go through to the Ro16 in the end, with ForGG able to score a 2-1 victory over MMA and finish second place in the group. WCS Europe's Ro32 will conclude on Saturday with Group H.

Just be glad that there were two groups with three terrans in it.
Hm, 4/7 first place finishers are invited to HSC9. If Grubby or Patience manage to ace their group, the number will go up to 5/8. (not invited are San, First, Livezerg)

thanks D:
there was a pic of him smiling but I thought russians weren't supposed to smile
Had a system bet running on esportsventure.com and if I would have had to name one player who would 100% win his game id have said MMA (and I did) and guess what? all the other results came in and MMA ruined my bet =( very disappointing, specially after seing game 3. I dont think he even took the game serious, but then again ho am I to judge a player like MMA?

Wow I wasn't aware there was such a big betting scene for eSports. Seems risky to bet on SC2, since players' results are usually all over the place.

Do a google search for 'wcs EU', click on the link for ther Twitch.tv channel, then find and click on the 'videos' tab, the vods usually end up there. Note: it took me a year to realize the 'video tab' existed

I shall now help you find the VODs in the best way possible! (through twitch) First you go to the twitch channel from which the content you want was originally streamed. i.e. http://www.twitch.tv/wcs_europe Next you click on their name at the top of the channel which takes you to their profile, such as wcs europe's http://www.twitch.tv/wcs_europe/profile Lastly you click on the past broadcasts and there are their broadcasts neatly named and organized! :D This works with most major tournaments. (gsl and proleague vods are behind subscriber paywalls on twitch so it doesn't work with them unless you're subbed) The method I just explained works literally minutes after the stream has ended which is super awesome! I used to click on videos tab but sometimes it would act wonky so I don't anymore. I hope this helps people find VODs quickly and reliably in the future!
Looks like there will be 8 Koreans in the round of 16 and as usual in the WCS EU draw they will probably get lucky again and 2 of them will be in each group. I would be very surprised to see them getting punished with a full Korean group, even though it would be totally fair at least in case of YoDa and ForGG, who finished behind foreigners in the round of 32.

it is, but for me it made watching starcraft entertaining again ^^ i kinda lost interest after a few years and this makes mathes much more exciting for me.
on a different note: not to take anything away from livezerg, but does anyone else have the feeling that mma wasnt really trying? specially game 2 and 3 seemed really odd to me, like he didnt really care about the result. a quick cheese in game 2 and some really coinflippy/wanky build in game 3 (where undoubtably he had plenty of opportunity to make the game go on for a little longer and maybe put him in a better spot than he was).
