I guess somehow beating a washed up terran is enough to have ppl throw out "best foreigner" labels here and there

vortix was considered a really strong foreigner throughout 2013 and just beat two koreans 4-0 live in ro16. scarlett hasn't shown any really incredible results recently and naniwa is retiring. plus, vortix's play overall and his micro looked stellar in the games, regardless of the form of MMA and MVP.

not sure why you would make this post other than to be pointlessly negative about something that excites people. some problem with hype for watching a great foreigner play a great round?

Excellent post. Some people just really like crapping on foreigners and/or people in general. It's silly.

yep. and don't get me wrong, he can disagree that vortix is the best foreigner and disagree that vortix's play today was impressive. anyone can post any opinion. but daftfunk's post came off as very bitter and spiteful, which is something i see a lot from naysayers in discussions about "foreign hopes." his post could have easily said "good result for vortix, but i'm personally skeptical about how strong he is" or something constructive. no need to crap on people's joy.

even if vortix retired tomorrow, those 4 games were still a blast to watch!

Because ur memory only lasts a few weeks and every time a new tourney a foreigner does well in, he's considered the new best foreigner. And u are only excited that "a foreigner" did so impressive today, not "a strong player". Pretty much divides everyone by race/ nationality now and isn't about skill anymore, but what country u are from. IMO, it isn't the greatest accomplishment getting out of a group stage. Maybe we can save the best foreigner crap until after the semis or somewhere near it. Again, beating Mvp doesn't make someone the greatest, he's lost to other foreigners before and vortix was always known as a patch zerg in 2013 did u just conveniently forget that or just not accept that really was his nickname? No where in here are ppl saying " wow mma is amazing is he back to top form???," just "omg vortix is greatest foreigner look at that drone mine dodge trick he stole from Snute omgomg" and I never mentioned Scarlett or naniwa but he isn't anywhere near accomplished as them.

I realise this won't convince a small mind, but watching the games, vortix's play was pretty spectacular. Those petty tricks are very fun to watch and impressive indeed, but weren't the reason he won. And referring to patchzergs, surely you must be trolling.

So salty. My god, I can feel it on my skin, its like swimming in the ocean.

Votix did great today and shows some impressive play, no matter what you say Debbie Downer.

actually u guys are the ones that are salty. I never said he did bad. just that hes not the GREATEST FOREIGNER NOW- BOW DOWN. cmon son do you read

Check yourself and your facts. "Best foreigner" was followed by a "?" when it was brought up. And then one guy said he was "He has been the best foreigner for quite a while imo :"D" In my opinion", followed by a smiley face! Its like one step above "I think he is totally awesome and super keen!"

Then you drank a big old glass of salty-hateraid and started calling MVP washed up and here we are. I hope you're happy!
