I can see that they recruited her because of her high exposure as a top streamer and because shes female, but skill wise you cant deny theres a significant discrepancy between her and players like sage, minigun, illusion etc. to the point where it does look a bit weird when you see her on the same roster as those kind of players. Her staying at the ROOT house is a great thing for her, but from the perspective of the other residents, who are (almost) all korean GM level, they cant really practice with her because of the difference in skill level. Like it or not, but this too, is the reality of the situation. That's true. I didn't think that you felt like she didn't deserve it though, so no worries. I guess my point was just that given her situation (female/top 20? streamer/good personality/whatever), it's not surprising that she got on the team. And I can understand putting her on the main team due to the fact that she does well in all-female tournaments. If someone is good, even in a niche, they'll get put in with the "big boys." EDIT: Oh yeah, and don't forget potential. By putting her on the team, maybe she'll improve that much more quickly and be looking at a higher skill cap. It's a really good investment.

I will have to check out her stream again sometime but congratulations to her for her success, and to ROOT gaming for picking her up. ![]()

I'm happy for her, but it does look a bit strange to me to have a mid-high masters player on the main team while there are GM players on the academy team. My impression is that she doesn't actually intend to be extremely competitive at a pro level. Her focus is mostly on her stream, so the whole SEED process doesn't really apply. She can have an affiliation with ROOT without going pro, I think it's cool.
