I mean I don't know about you, but I have literally not a single time ever been able to watch a YouTube stream, they refuse to load under any circumstance whatsoever. Meanwhile Own3d had worse quality and wasn't even paying its streamers the ad revenue so.... Gamecreds or whatever that service the Mill players use is also tends to break randomly for no discernible reason. idk mayne

Youtube has always worked for me when twitch failed. The mlg service looked good during gameon as well, no? And azubu always ran smoothly for me. But on the other hand, i've never gone to any of those sites to look for content, and I can't get enough of twitch chat, so idk. I've never found twitch to be that problematic outside of a few given circumstances but that's to be expected given how much i've used them. People really exagerate those problems IMO. Edit: btw i just checked hitbox.tv and the website won't load, did they just go down and i didn't hear about it or something?

Yeah man I'm serious, no YouTube live stream has ever loaded for me on any browser, under any settings or circumstances. As for MLG, they've been better lately, but for the entirety of 2011 and the first half of 2012 their streams would not load either. Not sure about Azubu as I've not tried it. Yeah I personally don't experience Twitch problems that often, but when they do happen they're infuriating. And the armchair technicians always say "lol u hav shit internet". No I fucking don't, I live in Romania, I get the kind of internet that 90% of people in the USA and Canada would sell both their testes and several other organs for, and I only pay like 10 euro a month for it. But even then, the problems with lag and stuttering for me are never as abundant as most European users report, and when they do they don't last that long. So yeah...

I have watched all the GSL matches on twitch this season, and without exemption, it's not possible to watch without significant problems that make them close to unwatchable. Tons of lagging all the time, and no ability to select quality. Meanwhile with same connection GOMtv used to work perfectly, not to mention every other type of streaming service on the internet. And I live in NA, where twitch is actually supposed to be the best. The other reason I criticize them is because even if you are a paying customer, it's impossible to contact them for help.

I don't watch SC2 VODs (only super old ones on youtube) so maybe you're right.

Bear in mind I am primarily a Mac user, got my Windows 7 machine back up and running. The difference in experience between the two is massive, the Windows PC I have had no issues with whatsoever.

Popularity polls can be frustrating, I guess. :D

I've never followed him but I did see people post about it once so I went to check it out and lo and behold it was true. So ye, only once is what I know. Given these stats, you're most likely right though. xD

I know Trump's stream certainly does teach a lot as a byproduct of simply streaming his play, but Day9 actually teaches and analyzes and has dedicated his stream to that for so many years now (Even if that has seemed to drop off to the wayside a bit, lately). Popularity polls can be frustrating, I guess. :D It's not a popularity poll. Trump also explains and analyses his moves very in-depth most of the time, to the point where he can barely make all his plays because he's running out of time. He's even introduced a full day's worth of broadcast every week dedicated to such explanation. Sry, but you're way off. With all due respect, Trump is doing a lot more for Hearthstone viewers right now than Day9 is for SC2 ones. It's basically like getting taught for free by a Code S Korean, someone who actually plays the game at the highest possible level. Not someone who claims to have an account in GM but never reveals it for fear of not meeting the public's expectations, and who physically doesn't have the time necessary to maintain himself at that skill level. If it were a popularity contest alone, Day9 would've won it, I guarantee you that. ![]()
