These things usually involve negotiations, timing, having banners and stuff drawn up, announcements edited and re-edited to have just the right wording, etc, etc. The all-the-eggs-in-one-basket-issue is definitely a problem, but that's about the only one and even EG had a first sponsor. All that said, SC2 isn't a good place for startups and it shows.

Sick! Hope to see more LYGF at DH this year!
|
LYGF is such a shit name in my opinion.

I mean LYGF has been around, and HTOMario has been satisfied with the team for a while. So, we don't need to worry that much.
The reason why some people are scared is because the sMi, now disbanded, had an unknown investor, which turned out to be a total scam. However, we have seen other startups such as Core Gaming creating a pretty stable scene, so anything goes!
Regardless of how ALL of us feel, we really hope that things work out well! Since LYGF has been pretty stable for a long time, there are some reasons to believe that the fall-out won't happen.

gl hf in future (maybe they will get Revival alive and Oz;)

Can't help but sniff the next big scam in a few months. Mysterious investors? This just can't be right. Not in this industry.

Guys they didn't call themselves National Socialist Farting or Full Metal Gracket or whatever, it's not really that bad
Fusilero's example of NiP is great for this How is this a bad name for a team and how is a message like this going to hinder sponsors tt

You're right, a team only saying "this is our team name sponsorship pls" won't get shit
But if you have something besides your name which you should have, that's what going to matter and not the team name (unless it's something obscene)
