Announcing that there's a 100% sponsor is big but doesn't require that the sponsor be revealed to earn the hype.
On the other hand, it could mean that the sponsor is planning on making their money back on earnings percentages, which would probably end up looking negatively on them, or require that they just don't need to ever be known. "Hey, I'll pay your living expenses, travel, etc, but I want 10% of all your winnings" could be a really good deal for a pro gamer, and a really good deal for a sponsor with a lot of faith in the team. I'm almost completely sure this isn't the case, but just kinda devil's advocating it.
An investor isn't a sponsor.
They seem to have a guy who invested into the team.
And then they got a sponsor they are about to announce.
The investor doesn't need to reveal themselves, and they might have reasons for not doing so (e.g. avoiding having others asking for money etc)
Just wanted to address this too. An investor implies that there's an investment being made. Investors are sponsors, they're really synonymous for all intents and purposes in this case. In fact, I'd argue that if there is any difference, sponsors don't necessarily expect anything in return, they're simply providing the team a way to get by. Investors by name alone imply that they plan on getting something out of it.

I'm always a bit suspicious when I hear this kind of " We found a guy that will give all the money " thing, especially in esport. Always end up somewhat bad in the end. Hope I'm wrong, because I love the players they picked up.

When I read about this team for the very first time it was the topic "Team Love Your Girlfriend Recruits Genius" and at first I expected that to be some kind of joke meaning that Genius got a girlfriend now, so that his results will get worse. I was surprised to see that there is actually a team with such a name. 
I would agree that they came out of nowhere at least for the professional scene though and it is surprising that they already paid some of their previous players because those are almost all very unknown and not people you would expect to get a salary at all.
