Same matches as last year (2 per day on Sat/Sun, 1 per day on Mon/Tue = 6 per week last year). I agree the changes to the BoX format (and prize pool?) are pretty dramatic but, hey, let's think positively. SCBW people will tell us that sometimes the death of something old brings something new. At least this season promises a lot of awesome matches. Tell everyone you know to tune in!

Regarding the maps, I was really hoping they would start trying out non-standard things. Changes with resources, and whatnot. I know they did try that with Fighting Spirit, but SC2 really needs something different than the maps that mostly play out the same every time. Balance is a non-issue when the scene is dying to stale games. Hoping bigger changes happen during Proleague to shake SC2 up.. KeSPA needs go all in and completely take things into their own hands. It is definitely good that they are taking a gamble and changing venues, so that is a small start. Don't like the Bo5, though.

Also: 12:05 - Broadcasters: SPOTV Games, SPOTV2 will broadcast at the same time. Available in 8.5 million households with IPTV. SK B TV, LG U+, and OllehTV will broadcast (each telecom company's mobile channel). Also on NAver sports, Youtube, and TwitchTV. Wow so it is on TV and will reach 8.5 million households. Wow so it has the biggest prize pool in Proleague history. Wow so it is being played in an E-sports Stadium and not a tiny box. Wow 95% of this thread is still bitching and moaning about this reveal. I'm not a huge fan of Proleague or broodwar of the past, so perhaps that's allowing me to look at this data and information and come to rational conclusions here. This should be good news to be most people, yet it seems like the majority of posters here are on the verge of slitting their wrists over this. No idea what's happening. Friday the 13th?

I'll give those who are depressed that little tidbit. At the same time, that might change. People just need to put this in perspective. We went from the strong possibility of no Proleague ever again to this, which is overall an improvement if you consider the prize pool > than the bo5 vs bo7 in regards to importance. Either way, we went from the possibility of nothing to this and people are complaining.

I just read the information (also known as facts) and repeated it. Information, not conjecture. Excuse me if by stating facts I may have accidentally deflated your rage-boner. ![]()

Basically you've come to say "you are all so negative i'm way cooler than you". I doubt you even know what proleague used to be 3-5 years ago.

As per the OP, each round's playoffs is Bo7 all-kill format, and the season's playoffs is Bo3 of Bo7 matches alternating between proleague, all-kill, and proleague format again.
