to say the least. I'd say it's complete bullshit and with no cable tv broadcasting this could very well be the last proleague.
Because cable TV is what all the kids are watching now a days in the vija-game world?
no but cable tv is what brings in viewers of the general public, which gets you sponsors, exposure etc.
If you go on the street in Seoul and ask any random teenager who Liquid`Taeja is you think they know who is? lol. do the same for SKT Faker and they will know right away (I'm not joking).

Dang best of five proleague format? Gonna see a lot of 3-0s and depth becomes irrelevant. Also none of the rounds are all kill excepting the mini postseasons in each round. Not too happy about all this tbh
Bo5 really sucks, but I guess when you have teams like Prime with three players on their roster or whatever you don't have much of a choice.
but really teams like IM, MVP, and especially SKT have really good players that will simply never get to play, while we'll be subjected to Byun, Broken Creator, and whatever 12 year olds Prime can round up every week.
the lack of involvement from OGN sucks, but I can't say it wasn't expected.
First of all, isn't SPOTV GAME a new television channel? If so then SC2 would still be on TV just on a different station. Also, I'm surprised no SC2/LoL joint Proleague plans were announced for this season. I was pretty sure that would have happened by now...

Well, it was kinda hinted by many people few weeks ago. And that rumor that got posted few days ago on one of the Korean websites that got deleted immediately.
I hate to be a pessimist, but SPOTV instead of OGN sounds just worse quality over all (prove me wrong, please). Their studio didn't even have soundproof booths last season. Additionally, I'd rather see a one year long league with $100k prize for the winner and $40k for the runner up than this WCS style division to seasons. The arrangement is propably more stable to fund the teams on equal basis, but dividing the prize money really eats some of the prestige away.
Reasonable, but it's just sad no matter how I try to think about it...

This would be the worst thing to happen ever. No hyperbole.
