Other than that - remember that he was like the #1 ranked KeSPa player on SC2 to transfer over.. For quite a long time (before Rain took over that place) Also - a lot of people who say that Soulkey's gonna have "easy path" to the finals, I really tend to disagree with.. Though the chances of him winning Naniwa are relatively high(er)-ish, say like around 65%, Naniwa's PvZ is a f*cking beast.. Like for example if he played duckdeok instead - pretty sure that THAT would be an easy-path/easy-win or sth.. ![]() Also - top on that the fact that Soulkey's ZvP might not be his best matchup IMO (not sure about following data or sth, just a feel that his ZvT is his best thing..) Still, hope we see some GGs..

Just because he lost to Dear in the manner he did doesn't mean his ZvP isn't really good LOL.

They play similar macro styles and Naniwa throws in all-ins, that as we all know Soulkey is pretty darn good at holding.

Not that he aing good, but among all those players, id say he is the weakest player. I can think of many Korean and a few non korean players who "should" on paper beat him.

It would be nice if Innovation could not be hyped to hell for one moment. It was obvious that the boost and hellbats played a massive role in differentiating him from past multi-taskers. Maybe I'm just jaded by never ever catching one of those games were INnovation was so impressive like a Rain or Life. Poor soulkey though. Kinda modern Sniper in terms of recognition for his title. Well then I guess you didn't watch any of his games. Innovation's play has been as impressive or more so.

I really hope Blizzard utilizes these articles in some way, even though there is likely zero time for them to, since they aren't all out and Blizzard is already all at BlizzCon setting up the event. It'd be cool if they used the titles that have been given here as player subtitles or something on introduction screens.

Blizzard seriously needs to pay TL for the rights to these articles, have someone with a good voice read them over some game footage/b-roll, and play them throughout the tournament. Valve had those cool little video introductions for each team at TI, and I hope Blizz has something similar in store for perpetuating the players' storylines in that way. I agree. I only started reading some of these articles today and they're all really good.

Do you remember that time when Naniwa had an extremely low chance of getting into Blizzcon? When both Trap and Oz is about to knock him out of the race? Guess who took them both out? Soulkey. If you are going to get emotional at least be a grateful fan. Without Soulkey crushing his opponents Naniwa need not even dream of getting into Blizzcon.
