Are there any korean teams with a "true" sponsor anymore except the kespa teams? (and they use that money for lol i guess).
Maybe thats a bad sign for the upcoming proleague too?
1. no proleague at all?
2. proleague but without any new teams (prime, im, mvp) in it?

Pretty much every team has a sponsor of some sort, but title sponsorship deals (like LG-IM used to be) are very rare outside of KeSPA.

Yeah i know about the "little ones", but they have no real impact for the team i guess?
Shouldnt proleague start in november? We have no new informations about that either right?
I dont know man, its really frustrating to see that shit :/

I suppose it should be something like earnings of Mvp and Nestea combined. Around that, maybe much less.

like jersey sponsor or drink sponsor. Coach Kang probably has to run the team out of his pocket right team, which sucks (Look at Coach Lee & TSL)

Name flows better again. I understand the value of title sponsors, but I think it looks stupid. I don't like the look of the "TLAF" in front of Liquid, the "RC" at the end of EG. But that's all just looks and flow, and if there were better, easier, or more efficient ways to handle title sponsors I'm sure they'd have done it by now.

That said, it's unfortunate that LG ditched. I think it's important to look at what they did for IM when the sponsorship was in full bloom, and I think they really helped a lot and did some really cool stuff. Just sucks how it turned out
My name is Mike, and statistically, yours is not.

yes but sponsor deals are different just because a company makes peripherals or provides energy drinks etc doesn't mean they don't provide monetary support
also TSL barely had any sponsors to begin with

Wait so how is LoL affected in this case? We know LoL is more popular everywhere and it's not a surprise for big companies to sponsor them.

IM has a LoL team, the sponsorship is gone from the team completely

Still more sponsors than Western Wolves, and they do have expensive players.
Maybe they will be less the ''stars'' they were before but its still a strong and skilled team.

Western Wolves actually have alot of commonly underrated players, don't they? I do not think it was too expensive to sign Sting, Daisy and check for one.

Wasn't there some similar news where a team didn't get sponsorship? Was it LG-IM actually?

IM still have tons of sponsors, I don't think the coach has to put his own money in it, especially since most players on IM are not salaried.

IM fanboys rallying behind the banner in these dark times.
