probably the saddest news since stephano's retirement. MKP is an emblematic player and i'm really sad to see him go.
Sadly Mr Dustin Rock doesn't understand that if the scene shrinks as much as it does, sponsors woud have to incentive to invest into a game watched by 20k on twitch overall while dendi gets 30k while streaming a public game in Dota2. And most probably we wont be seeing a drastic resurgence with LotV. This trend of players retiring/switching will not end soon if Blizzard does not fix it's WCS system , rework Bnet2.0 so it isnt the loneliest place in the universe anymore, fire the person who designed the chat interface and rework that completely, make SC2 F2P or lower the price drastically. Implement a way of selling skins/ Fanclub Flags or something with a percentage of the profit directly supporting the Pro / Semi-Pro scene.Just a few hints.
I never watched LoL and probably never will . I will miss you MarineKing.Prime!

lol may be a simple game but any game played by incredibly skilled people will have skill differentiation. the skill ceiling is quite high if you've seen guys like faker play

Well he wasn't getting any results on HotS, fine. Still it's MKP we're talking about... I feel very bad about this, I've always loved his playstyle, his habits of both losing to MVP and owning DRG (back when they had an actual rivalry), his astonishing micro skills and his (ridiculous) hipsterish style of clothing. Will miss him.

Many players already switched to LoL, but with MarinKing this is something bigger. This guy is icon and legend of SC2.
Still not gonna watch LoL, it is just soooooo boring (imo!)

Genius will never quit. He'll keep talking about how little he cares about SC2 and loves other games more, but he'll still be playing SC2 in 2017 and on his 17th team, playing in WCS Africa.
