Core is a really nice page about gaming community, I was there playing the arcade game from SC ( Not as core member) when Neuro was introducing and organizing tournaments. He had detractors and supporters on all his work and maybe he still has.but he has a really strong ambition in what he does, I don't know about his goals ( Tournaments...) but with hnice job all good things will come.

Best luck to Core and Neuro.

Good luck to this team. Man, got to give props for Neuro for working so hard on this announcement.

And oh boy, Nanocloud... Seriously? This guy argues like a kid, placing blame on other people and making himself the victim. It's fucking disgusting -_-

It really hurts that a fellow "Bioengineer" focusing on neuroscience would argue like that...

Both first time posters one after another showing support for Core. That isn't unusual....

I have decided to look into Nanocloud's "presentation of evidence". I thought he would open up his skype and present chatlogs from there. But nope, he instead shows a team liquid page of his presumably forged conversations. That's just pathetic from him...

EDIT: FUCK, I wasted my first zealot post on this loser!

Yes, I won't lie how jumpy his critics were, but sadly, at least, his critics have a good reason to really distrust him.

I am [Core] Ironsights, member of Core from before it was Core and the primary Moderator on the community forum. I can verify many of these "Post: 1" posters as members of our community and players of the games we all play and love. they might be new to team liquid, but they came here to show support for the community they are a part of.

I have personally spoken with Cell about what happened in the past and am willing to work with him in the future. Mistakes were made all around in the past, and one guy shouldn't be forced to bear the burden of all of these mistakes, when many of them were not his to begin with. Until the man gives me a reason not to trust him, I will stand beside him.

Our "fanboys" are us, they are our players and our friends. If they flocked to the site to promote our community, how is that something to frown upon? The journey of a thousand miles and the trip next door both start at the same place: the first step. This is our first step into the wild world of esports and we are all hoping to enjoy the journey. Whether we become something amazing or are lost in the sands of time is irrelevant, what matters is that we are here, now, and doing something as opposed to nothing.

It humbles me to see so many of our members taking the time to be here, in this thread, and it makes me smile to see our community laying itself bare on the altar of the existing kings. Come what may, no one can say we didn't try.

I am proud to show my support for Core, and I hope that only the best arrives as the future becomes the present and the present fades into the past.

Peace, and Happy Gaming.

Actual Kodo, it shows that our members are proud of our community and choose to show their support publicly. The ability to mobilize a supportive base is essential to a sustainable community.

dude i am 2x smarter than you'll ever be. don't ever try to correct me you'll just sound stupid. spamming a forum saying how awesome your team is...explain to me how that shows any professionalism. its a sad attempt to bump a TL thread. please kid, don't talk about sustainable community with me with your 30 person community.

Seriously... I hate drama, but NanoClouD seems to enjoy the hell out of it. After reading his post concerning the ordeal with sMi, I'm pretty disgusted. The lies that this guy says and the way he twists words is pretty sickening. What's even worse is that people fall for it and back him up. I can pull a NanoClouD too and go all gung-ho with Skype chat logs if we have to play that game.

Sorry if this derails your thread, I do hope that a number of your players do really well for themselves, but there are some within your organization that are rotten to the core and will only be a serious burden to you.

From his post here: http://www.coregamingpro.com/index.php?/topic/447-i-am-nanocloud-operations-director-and-grandmaster-ama/page-3#entry3832

NanoClouD wrote:
Anderson was part of sMi since the broodwar days and everyone on sMi vouched he was a real person. It turns out Aidan was close friends with Anderson
Anderson was on sMi for a short stint back in BW. Some of the guys did know him from back then and because of that history and how long he spent playing with them before the whole thing started, he gained their trust.

NanoClouD wrote:
Anderson typed up contracts, the head owner of smi for years(Tim “dirtybird” bowen) approved the contracts, and the players signed them.
This is completely untrue. I never saw the contracts that the players signed, the salaries the players would be getting, etc. I saw a VERY early version of the contract and noticed it was very amateur.

NanoClouD wrote:
Over the course of a few days, we all were getting worried about Anderson’s behavior. He could never provide receipts, would get upset when we asked when gear was coming in, never understood how to pay us via paypal, western union, or other methods, and we could never speak with Kelly dawn. Yes he was on skype, but he never joined a skype call, we could never find anything about him on the web etc. Then later we emailed Razer and found out they never had an employee by the name of Kelly Dawn. Anderson’s excuse at that point was that Kelly Dawn is not his real name, and that as a rich billionaire he does not like giving his real identity away……..
I could provide some really long chat logs about all of this. I was the one who emailed Razer and made phone calls all over the place to try to bust Anderson and Kelly.

NanoClouD wrote:
Why was the owner of sMi so trusting of this Anderson fellow?
You know damn well I wasn't "so trusting of...Anderson." Over the course of a number of weeks I had mentioned my worries about Anderson and Kelly, even from the first day that you and I met and spoke via a Skype call. And if I was so trusting of Anderson, why would I have done everything in my power to expose him to everyone on Skype that night and make a TL post about the whole ordeal?

NanoClouD wrote:
For example, Kelly Dawn threatened to sue Sonic for leaving the team to send a message to the other players. Obviously this was a lie, but even the threat of that I imagine caused stress.
In which I told him he couldn't and defended Sonic's actions for leaving.

NanoClouD wrote:
We players still feel like smi had more to do with the scam than they let on. It is beyond me that an owner of a team would bring someone into their organization without running backround checks. A simple skype call would suffice. Rather, the owner stated he was too busy at the time to really look into it. A bad excuse. He also yelled at members for asking too many questions. For example, Sonic again was yelled at and called immature for asking where the gear promised to him was and when he was going to get it. The sad reality is, Anderson Barrett and the team owner of smi, Tim Dirtybird Bowen live VERY CLOSE TO ONE ANOTHER. It would be a simple drive over to see if this Anderson Barrett guy is real and if he had gear.
Wow... sMi had nothing to do with the scam attempted by Anderson Barrett. How can I do anything if I was away on hiatus from managing at the very beginning of all of this? I never stated that I was too busy to look into it... In fact I did everything in my power to find out what the hell was going on.

Sonic wasn't "yelled at", he was told he was being immature. Yes, I said that. He was acting very dumb and questioning me in a conversation where I was explaining that I was doing everything in my power to find out what was going on with Anderson and Kelly. I can provide the Skype chat logs for this and I'm sure you can too considering you seem to love to bring those up whenever you possibly can.

Yes, Anderson and I do live fairly close to one another. He lives in Frisco, TX and I live in Allen, TX. That is about 20 minutes apart from one another. However, I didn't know his address and you know for a fact that I attempted to meet up with him a number of times to confirm the gear was real and other things, but he kept making excuses for why we couldn't meet up.

I believe that the true stupidity shown here was assuming that you are smarter than someone you have never met... Does not make much sense to me. Any way, Core is an awesome community that helps each other and supports each other. Justin is a great guy with a great sense of humor! He tries hard and has done a fantastic job. He is dedicated and once he sets his mind to something he gets it done, well. Go Core

This Core community reaks of nonsense. I can't find anything about these sponsor companies besides their web pages. No one I've read has done business with these people. If these are brand new companies, why would they put so much money into a low level SC2 pro team when they can't profit off of it? It makes no sense. None of these players are going to be getting any results because there is far more high level talent out there so it'll be damn near impossible to convince any major sponsor to put money into this team to recruit better players. Also, why give such low level players salaries? Many top level pros don't even make salary.

Decent? Not a single person on this team has a decent tournament result. It's a little strange to be giving salaries to players who can't even be considered up and comers.

Our goal is to take what we consider up-and-coming semi-professional talent and help reach their potential. We have all become a very close-knit group of friends now and I couldn't ask for a cooler team Tournament results are not our focus in the development stage of this group. You start with the right personalities which help stabilize your community, then you get incremental increases of funding to secure the best talent later on.

Your business model is fucked. Tournament results are everything to maintaining a stable SC2 team. If you have a bunch of players who don't win anything, you're done. No sponsor wants to fund a losing team. Look what happen to Quantic, NEX, NHoseo, Zenith, ItsGosu, FXO-NA, etc. You should have recruited high level players to attract sponsor attention and then expand down to lower level players if at all.

You say that a large health community well give you sponsorship attention. While true, all of your players are complete unknowns or better yet they have a bad reputation (nanocloud, cell) so why would I want to be apart of a community they run or are a major part of?

Too many players with truly-low post count 'supporting' this Core Gaming. Good luck, to 'em, but that does not make me one believing in the true support.

I think its gotten to the point where this should be closed for self-promotion. Lots of fake accounts being made to promote something that runs counter to TL.

I am a first poster here in TL not in many other forums. You can search my name at Lol (EU) I think NA acc was deleted, HoTs ( EU and NA), Steam and other several games. I am writing not as part of Core Staff or so though I am registered there time ago by other hand I am not speaking about if community is big/ small or players are good or bad. I am speaking about the effort these guys are doing to E-sports and a place to join with funny or serious gamers ( even just a little). And this is the reason I created an Acc to TLiquid. Maybe I had one time ago but I think probably not,

As Far as I know, team will be bigger and team will be good. But some guys want to create the biggest and best players community from nothing.

I dont like where this is headed by the last page of posts.
This isnt the thread for arguments, I'm quite annoyed by all the first posters of a community that was very recently formed, though.

Interesting posts here but not as caustic as I expected just a reminder that we are doing the live stream September 14th at 10pm EST where we will do a show match and introduce our players and management - there will also be a live Q&A which should be cool. I am trying to get all of our players involved in TL since many of them have never posted before, so I hope to facilitate more engagement that way.

I think we can definitely do some give aways as well, but I'm not sure at this point. Overall, I appreciate all of the supportive comments today, especially from those who are from core and brand new to TL.
