And even sOs lost to eventual champion Maru, so you can't say that is going to be different under a Bo3.

One group gets 3 second places and the other groups get 1 first place each. Fair enough I suppose

I think there is a better than 50% chance either Jim and Scarlett advances. Also either one would have a slightly better chance than Welmu for the reason that they can beat anyone in the group, whereas I don't see Welmu beating Rain.
