it's been kinda obvious that TB wanted to focus more on Dota 2 and less on starcraft for long time now
Much bigger casual crowd, he would fit in way better. Prepare for some not funny YT videos with "SC2 is dead and I told you before" with a british accent.
Why on earth would he do such videos when he sponsors a SC2 team and his wife runs said team?
Ignore people being silly. Of course he isn't giving up on SC2, until he wife is done with the team. But he may want to cast more Dota 2 stuff. Or maybe he will just start casting the Redbull events. Hell, he should host them with Incontrol.
I do not feel like SC2 is dying but the bubble has popped. I do believe that the number of fans is increasing but it is not to the level that can sustain the current scene.
Too many people have bought into Artosis' delusion that Starcraft is some timeless, intrinsically superior form of entertainment like chess (and we all know how long chess has been around right?) that will never die.
It isn't.
Time passes, people get bored and move on to new games. This isn't football or basketball or soccer. Unlike the human body, computer hardware is rapidly and constantly improving and with it the games played on it also evolve and improve. Let your personal enjoyment of SC2 be enough.
edit:
Thread summary:
Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
MLG helped created WCS, qualifiers weren't run all that well. Production was iffy. Dropped WCS after 1 go around then remove SC2 from MLG.. Food for thought.

Two things for you guys. 1. Dota 2 has enough great casters so they don't need a new one. 2. TB doesn't understand Dota 2 at all. Hell, he still doesn't understand SC2 completely after 3 years of casting... Good luck casting dota with no understanding. The general play by play shoutcasting doesn't work here. Of course he can try and I wish him luck, but I find it hard to believe.

Just because a team is currently sponsored by X it does not mean it will continue till the end of time. (Oh and he loves drama)
Slightly offtopic: Does MLG even make any profit? The last I heard was that they were still just running on venture capital. They reduced the amount of offline events, to the point of people playing in their NY office (and only recently changed back), they were responsible for WCS NA and played a big role that it CRASHED pretty hard, then lost WCS NA. Switching to a F2P game like LoL that brings in lots of viewers or the atrocity that are shooters like CoD/Halo on console where they seem to have little competition from other broadcasters are maybe the best methods to make some cash.

There's people idiot enough to think TB is selfishly profiting from sc2 because they had no idea who he was before he started casting. Baffling really.

Exactly SC2 is big but it seems like most people want or believe that it is 100 times bigger that it actually is. It is still in a bubble. It will still be around for the next 5 years at least but I doubt we get to 500,000 concurrent views on a regular basis.
That does not suggest that I do not want it to grow. I bring it up in conversions with families, friends, coworkers, etc.
A high percentage of current posters (the loudest of hive mind on TL and Reddit) think that all we have to do is have Blizzard throw their unlimited money supply at it. Give this organization money give this personality money.
I can already see the future. A new LoL team will rise to dominate the scene and it will be comprised of, MKP, Life, DRG, Leenock and MVP with Nestea as coach!

Well, at least they wouldn't need to worry about any more stress on their wrists...
Looks like the foreign scene is continuing to diminish. No IPL. No MLG. NASL doing WCS AM, a tournament which is hardly supporting the local scene. The most popular Foreign players have retired or are considering taking a break. Death of a thousand cuts, is still a death.

I didn't even realize that it would auto-renew. Mine was set to renew on the 26th. Thanks you saved me some money.
