People are not only worried about getting tickets for the event but actually what is happening with SC2 and MLG in the future. "oh no I thought you got it from my last tweet, MLG is done with SC2 GTFO HATERS" This whole shitstorm that is happening right now is because theres no statement made from MLG, just a tweet. And as always if people nitpick things theres always a goddamn reason for it. I don't hate the community, it just tires me out. And there is no shit storm, its mostly honesty.

What it does indicate is that North American pro SC2 has been dying for a while and this is it's death throws. EU and KR is doing fine, and the fact that LoL and Dota2, and WoT in some places, are doing better doesn't change that.

Complaining about who professional the announcement was that informed everyone to not plan on sending their players to an upcomming event. Why do we have this urge to nitpick every single thing that happens in SC2? You've made it clear throughout the thread you think the SC2 community is just a bunch of whiners. We get it.

Sean Plott @day9tv 9m So I hear @redbullESPORTS is brewing some opportunities for North American @StarCraft players. I think Redbull is a far more exciting partner than MLG for upcomming events. After all, they have a studio and everything. Maybe they could run their own team league. Where is that Studio? Texas?

Especially on a forum on the internet. The SC2 community really is one of its kind in that regard.

Edit: But to be honest, I'm quite in shock. I thought Terrible Terrible Damage and 10 minutes Swarmhosts deathball fights were great for spectators :/

To be honest, i just felt so distant to everything SC2 i just lost interest. It was always "hey fans! remember to retweet/donate/subscribe/whatever so my salary will keep going up!", felt like every single time i was watching something i was just being told to promote players & tournaments. Even if BW had much smaller tournaments outside of Korea, i'd take it over today's drama-ridden SC2 tournaments.
