Well they certainly did improve quite a bit throughout their history of featuring SC2.
But this saddens me, as I went to two MLG Columbuses just for the SC2. I definitely won't be going to the next one if SC2 won't be there.
Hopefully they continue to have big plans for SC2 in the future.

Anyone know if IEM New York will be open bracket or anything? Maybe the proximity of events was what caused MLG to pull out.
That, and Blizzcon is like a week and a half before Columbus.

Not sure why it's not their because from what I remember the last MLG had 80k viewers

This really bums me out. I was finally going to have a chance to go to an event near Chicago. I don't care who's fault it is this just sucks.

One of the things that really annoyed me about MLG was their decision to not allow their stream to be watched on a mobile device, such as an iPhone or iPad. I understand them wanting to get the ad revenue from people watching on the main stream but it was a major inconvenience.

That, and Blizzcon is like a week and a half before Columbus. 2 weekends apart.
13 days from the end of Blizzcon to the start of MLG Columbus.

IEM New York will 100% have an open bracket like Shanghai did.

Riot's cock must taste real good, because Sundance has been doing a really good job of sucking all of the money out of it he can.

Good for starcraft 2 since MLG is no longer a flag ship carrier for e-sports.

This makes me sooo sad, this was going to be my first MLG but I was going primarily for SC2, don't know if I will be making it now

MLG is a business and they prob make more money off other games, sucks for us obviosly but cant blame the company for trying to make profit.

Sundance DiGiovanni @MLGSundance 10m Just so folks know - we are currently not planning to run SC2 at Cbus. Should that change we'll let you know via official channels.
Just so MLG folks know, - I am currently not planning to watch MLG at Cbus Due to no SC2. Should that change, I'll be informed via TeamLiquid.NET.

At some point we're going to have to acknowledge that we've wasted the last 3 years of our life playing the terrible successor to one of the best games ever made.
Even those in master league+ will be mocked and chided at for not playing BroodWar (Since both are/will be equally dead), "You were good at Sc2?. I'm good at wanking, does that make me skilled at video games?"
I know this is worth at least a warning but someone needs to say it rather than pathetically trying to convince ourselves the game can survive with Blizzard at the wheel.
