Life != all of eSF. I wish people would stop acting as if he is. Kind of ticked me off that Life and Kespa got all the attention early in HotS, while upcoming talents and hardworking players who were on top in WoL and still on top in HotS (Symbol) from eSF got overshadowed. 5/8 of the ro8 in OSL was eSF, not to mention Bogus and Soulkey just got beat by Supernova(almost knocked Rain out too) and Maru. Two guys nobody would've thought would be able to put a dent in anything this season.

Which probably matters less than people think since you all 3 regions are full of Koreans anyways. But I'm sure someone will bring this point up.

*sigh*. Is there is one thing that gets tiresome in the SC2 scene is that there is no consistency among the players. It feels like almost any pro Korean player can win Code S at any point in time.

Let's not get into esF vs Kespa debate. But I think it's safe to say that the arrival of Kespa has brought out the best of all pro players, by and large.

Innovation is ridiculously consistent: Ro4 GSL 2012 Season 5 (WoL) Ro8 GSL 2013 Season 1 (WoL) 3rd MLG Winter Championship Ro4 2013 Asian Indoor-Martial Arts Games Qualifier 2nd GSL WCS 2013 Season 1 1st WCS Season 1 1 of 2 Koreans qualified for IEM Shanghai (but didn't go to the main event because of Proleague finals) Ro4 OSL WCS 2013 Season 2 Ro8 WCG Korea Qualifiers (ongoing) 3rd most wins overall in Proleague, on the team that won it Sure he's had a few disappointing series like the 0-4 to Maru and the reverse sweep vs Soulkey, but you can't deny his insane consistency. I think the only HotS tournament he's actually done bad in is the MLG Dalls KeSPA online qualifier.

This notion used to frustrate me as well, but it's something you come to accept. Almost all of these Korean pros are at a really similar skill level. You're statement isn't entirely untrue... And I know it's hard to admit, but the game still involves luck as a major factor. And there are too many ways to lose. Like I said, volatile.

I was telling this months ago, but nobody give a damn, bash me instead, they continue to hype that one player on top at the moment. There are hundreds of players who can win championship when they are extremely hot, and there are thousands of players who can win a Bo 3 against best player in the world at the moment, in Korea ofc. Give some love for those average Korean pros, they need it, not those on top.

I don't think anyone has been this consistent in the entire brief history of SC2. To me, he has already overtaken Nestea and MVP in terms of sustaining the longest streak of consistency (Nestea - much shorter, MVP - fluctuates in hitting rock bottom and top gear throughout 2011-2013).
