Will it turn people's heads? No - However the part she visited the StarTale team house did stereotype SC2 players as nerds with no specific numbers involved when it came to prize pools to justify the amount of hours they played but it's about as honest and fair amount of coverage we'll ever get on eSports in this country until we catch up with the likes of Sweden etc. No specific number? They kept repeating "a price pool of 64 thousand pounds". I really liked that part because it showed how serious they were about it, she noted the concentration and dat schedule :D I think the stereotype of gamers being lazy and not serious was crushed there.

They've thrown a presenter in who doesn't play any video games at all and she's gone in to it with an open mind and tried to do her best while obviously making rookie mistakes as anyone would at their first time of doing something they have no interest or day to day involvement in. Stop being such a cynical wanker. This tbh. I mean its like anything, if you plonked anyone into a world they know nothing about, they will always struggle to seem knowledgeable about it to those who ARE in that world. What they will probably do, is their best to try and engage with the subject matter and bring in the many others who are watching and are NOT part of that world also. I remember her doing one about metal concerts and she crowd surfed at a Spineshank gig haha. :D I wouldn't mind more presenters on our telly like Daisy tbh. Most of them are bloody terrible. At least it would be a bit of a laugh if they lightened up a bit more. Anyway - Does anyone have the VOD of the game/s casted? Does she cast all game? Would be funny to hear it all, bring on the Hunchback! :D

Nah man, you aren't going to change people's opinions that easily and in many cases they just keep their preconceived notions. As for my own perception of the West more specifically, I'd say there are a lot of lazy gamers and they don't use their time wisely. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I assume they were told something like "There are 100 million people with an internet connection and we have the potential to reach them all" and something got lost in translation. It was clearly the GSTL, but the players were all Startale? I find it hard to believe that GOM would let someone with absolutely no knowledge cast (even if it was all in good fun) and on the show it looks like she actually was involved and getting stuck in, when in actuality it was a warm up match no online view would ever see.
