Sea, sun, food, history, cultural melting pot, crowded of tourists, specially during summer. For foreign french speakers, it can be a bit hard because people there have a strong accent. I'm not a big fan of bigs cities, but it worth spending few days I guess.

But not the french, they do it in french. Why? Isn't this an international audience? Do they not aim for all of us? I do not get enraged easily, but stuff like this pisses me off because it is just thoughtless and elititst!

Speaking English is not as common in France as you could think, and Millenium main audience isn't international, it's French. It always has been that way. France Esport scene is big enough to support itself. They could just as well not put subtitles and don't tell you about their content.

You'd be hard pressed to find anything in english coming out of far east asia as proven by the vast amount of korean progamers whose english level is below A1. I don't see you complaining about that.

Imagine I liked on of the Millenium players due to some playstyle I fancy. Now I wish to be the good fanboy and start checking out content. But wait, I can't because I do not speak french. In E-Sports this seems wrong to me, very wrong in fact. Because it always felt to me, like at least in online gaming we are all equal. Heritage does not matter, Looks don't count, and the Language is english. I am merely frustrated and do feel locked out. Same reason why I always cheer for foreigners and against koreans by the way.

I tried to help them do that at the beginning of last year but it couldn't go through. I think Boucot might have some more news on a potential international website soon.

Thing is, Millenium would probably lose a lot of interest from some French viewers if they did all their content in English. There's a LOT of French esport fan that just don't speak English if you can believe it. I know for sure they are trying to improve, but understands that from a business standpoint, Millenium can't just change their ways that quick. Plus, we're not really the only ones doing that. Just look at all the content from the German scene that you can't enjoy if you don't speak German. They even have their own State of the Game with all the pro German players. I would love to listen to that but I don't get mad because they're developing their local scene.

I have the same news as you, afaik they plan to release an english version in fall 2013. But I don't know if it concerns all the content or only the esports part. For those who complain (and I understand it and I'm sure the Millenium guys too), you must know that not only Millenium is focusing on the french scene but it's worth it because Millenium is since June the second biggest videogames website in France (it was 7th a year ago). http://www.afjv.com/news/2569_classement-des-sites-internet-de-jeu-video-juin-2013.htm There are a shitton of articles and videos posted everyday and translating all that stuff would be pretty much infeasible. But I agree that the esport section would benefit from a translation. As a french viewer, I will just enjoy the MaddeLisk backflips for the time being. :p

1)French is not a hard language, I failed a french 1 class and could still understand enough to get the general gist of things when combining visuals and audio. 2)Not to get all "grandpa" but seriously, back in my day we were happy for a shitty OSL/MSL/Pro League(ironically GomTV had the best system with free vods in low quality as well as english stream for all their old BW league except when they sponsored MSL) restream with English commentary over the Korean audio, which was rare! Most of the time it was just the Korean commentators. Why? Because the English speaking people weren't the target audience.Obviously if they made it in French the international and English speakers of the world aren't even secondary if there aren't subtitles added post process, usually they leave it to the community to do that.

Adel : So today, we give ourselves a training session. I brought my whole team running and exercise a bit here. So, yeah, we take good care of ourselves. Maddelisk : Time to run ! Dayshi [muted panting] Jack : So, we've got a little problem here. During this morning little training session we stumbled across a completely crazy girl. She never stops running and she just never stops.

What's the relationship between dailymotion and Millenium? They don't upload their videos on youtube and they don't stream on twitch. Is dailymotion sponsoring them or is there another factor that I'm not aware of?

Partnership with better ad revenue than Twitch, not a sponsorship. And yes, Dailymotion is french, that's why most of the french WebTVs are on Dailymotion (Millenium, aAa, LDLC, ZeratoR, etc.)

That's why I stopped watching the M TV (and because casters are bad) or I don't watch forgg if there are other terrans streaming. Dailymotion is just bad for streaming. ForGG and Feast are chilling on the couch after some hard needed spa treatment. ForGG had his wrist massaged for extra comfort on the mousepad, whilst Feast went for the super deluxe e-sport special, which includes, but is not limited to ; fingermassage, shouldermassage, wristmassage and some mental therapy and micro coaching!

Most of Milenium's followers are from France, then Belgium, then Switzerland, then Canada and Africa. Twitch shows mainly ads in NA. Most of MLG or Dreamhack followers are from NA. For Millenium, Dailymotion just pays more than Twitch in it's specific context. BTW, they uplaod their videos on youtube since few days. In french, because french speakers are 99% of their followers.

Starcraft E-sports language is Korean... not english. Ever saw an official english stream of brood war ? Today everyone is making efforts and transitionning to english. When Day[9] came to iron squid i was really happy. But a lot of my co-workers were like "what is he saying ?". And by the way, if it was elitist.. you wouldn't have subtitles... Sorry for the angry post. I know that we french are not appreciated everywhere but that was boderline for me. Ontopic, i think this was a great initiative. They have a good communication. Eg is doing better but they have much more money (i think). Good to see that they still trying their best.
