esports is trying to become main stream, and almost every sports caster in any televised sport that i can think of you will always see dressed professionally with. sorry that u might disagree but if you want esports to continue to grow and become more accepted then casters are going to have to dress the part. how can u take someone serious if they are dressed like they should be in the audience with the rest of the fans?

there is some guy on basetrade.tv i think that has a terrible hat and goggles. he looks like a moron.

I also think that redeye's combo of jack/shirt/tie with jeans looks silly.
But then again, players wear tracksuit pants for matches in front of an audience of 80,000....
Kaelaris is great though <3
I didn't see the shirt you're talking about so maybe it really was awful, but I completely disagree on only wearing light colored shirts for formal look/no tie for dark colors tbh

No lol It's really not a look

Rotterdam and Bitter have the sweetest matching suits, they both fit great.

Are you perhaps thinking of mcduffs from imba.tv?

Tod at wcs is my favorite, one of the few who look natural and comfortable in his suit if that makes sense.

Apollo at number 2 is spot on. His belt from last week instantly propels him into the top 3.
I would make a comment about Incontrol, but I am not so sure he has a choice in what he wears to events.

do you actually believe that how casters dress has anything at all to do with how popular starcraft 2 is?

ToD at the caster's desk looks best for me, absolutely pristine. But wait, let's check out his shoes:

What the hell? lmao
Okay first of all, it looks like GOM took a page right off OGN & MBC because the casters shared similar wardrobe as well, but they would sometimes change the color scheme. Anyway this thread is too funny.

While I don't think there should be a "dress code" for casters, I sure as hell think that no matter what you decide to wear you better wear it well.
So - if you want to wear a suit and tie, please get one that fits (tailored? even better). And get a tie, belt and shoes that are suitable. If you don't have that great fashion sense, stick to black and white (seriously, nigh impossible to go wrong with a fitted black and white suit, but it's a bit boring). If you have some feeling for what matches what, you can get creative with some colours, and type of tie you wear. Maybe a lapel pin too.
If you want a casual look, do that properly too. Don't end up in some weird no-mans land where you are wearing sneakers with jeans but with a tucked out shirt, a tie, and a ill fitting blazer.

This is my first and probably last post on TL forums. I am mostly the stalker kind here, and watch the streams once in a while.
There is a serious issue with NASL which needs to be adressed, the issue of good taste in clothing.
What the casters are wearing tonight is simply horrid and should be burned live and the ashes scattered in the sea.
First, you can't wear a white tie, never, ever. Even if you are part of the mafia, pretend to be part of the mafia, a douche, simply color-blind or going to your prom.
Second, plain dark brown shirts with plain black suit simply is the horriblest thing I have seen in my life. It makes no sense.
And third, mixing a white tie with a brown shirt and black suit is something that shouldn't be seen, talked or even thought about.
Thank you for the taking the time to read me. I love these casters work by the way.

I was waiting for this thread ;D Since I noticed how nice these Suits are that Kaelaris and Apollo wore at the WCS EU. Damn I want Kaelaris Hair.

You have 18k posts and quote the entire OP without shoving it in a spoiler tag?
Glad the Western movie Moletrap, Hogwarts Wolfdor and Red Bull Janitors got bought up also, truly and hilariously awful.

"Worst/Best Dressed casters"
Takes 7 month old photo.
o_o
Thread is a nice excuse for people to bitch about how others are dressed while in their boxers. Intended as funny, will end up being a shithole as always because community can't just laugh along and has to take it seriously.

I don't know because they posess knowledge/credentials the casual audience doesn't ? Look i understand what they're going for but no need for going overboard which happens quite alot in my estimation.
